ごく普通家にか見えないですが外観のセンスはクオリティ😓🆖
I could wax poetic about how wonderful this machiya is and how amazing our hosts are. You'll sleep on futon on tatami mats in a house that feels like a museum with all of the little touches. There is a beautiful bath that is half-outdoors and is incredibly relaxing to soak in at night after a hot shower. The family that owns Suzume-an are incredibly gracious and really go above and beyond to make your stay in Kyoto better than you could have imagined. I cannot recommend staying here enough!

Very welcoming and honest host. Nice house, complete with everything you will need to make yourself feel at home. Amenities are hotel grade. About 20 mins bus from Kyoto station. Near many convenient stores. Recommended.
