Very nice and cozy place, it was little bit hidden, but it's a true gem. Owner was so friendly and even though we didn't speak japanese, they tried to talk to us and use google translate. We ate delicious food and they even gave us origami. We would like to come back:)
We came here by chance on our first evening in Kyoto. We were warmly welcomed by two lovely ladies. We ate great food. We did not understand a word, but it did not matter. Great memory
I had such an amazing experience here, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the lovely ladies were such a pleasure to get to know and talk to. The food was genuinely the best I’ve had in Japan so far and it left me feeling full both in heart and stomach. Can’t wait to come back :). 🐨
It felt like having a home cooked meal with my family. Deciding to go here on a whim was one of the best decisions I made during my time in Kyoto, and created an unforgettable memory I will treasure for years to come. The food was delicious, but the highlight was speaking with our wonderful hosts. They were so welcoming and it was a blast getting to know them. I can’t wait to return here, hopefully one day soon :)To our lovely hosts:温かいおもてなしと、忘れられない思い出を作っていただき、ありがとうございました。またのお越しをお待ちしております。To the lovely Misao:祖母は少し前に亡くなりましたが、あなたは祖母と同じくらい優しくて美しい人です。祖母の美しい魂を思い出させてくれてありがとう。-Flynn
What an amazing experience! This restaurant is a must when visiting Kyoto and as my first time here, it became the highlight of my trip. The people who served us were warm and welcoming and made me feel like I was at home. The food they cooked up right in front of me was delicious and heart-warming too.We had a wonderful time talking to them, and even though we needed to translate most conversation, it did not detract from just how kind and welcoming they were. I would have stayed there all night to chat and get to know them!Thank you again for the wonderful meal and experience, I will be coming back next time I am in Kyoto ❤️- Ethan 🐨
This is by far the best meal and memory during my trip to Japan.Alongside with the ladies who work here, the local ladies who also dine here made my experience so wonderful and welcoming. It is safe to say that my heart is as full as my stomach ❤️-Hayley 🐨
Don't listen to the haters in the comments!! We had a really great time there with Oba-chan and the other grandmas. Needed a translator but the food was so delicious and the atmosphere was so warm, felt like home ❤️
かなりの穴場で値段もめっちゃ安くて量も多いです😋
The owner made me a vegetarian Yakisoba on my first visit. When I came back, she made me another "nikku nashi" version of Okonomiyaki pancake and Curry Fried Rice. Then, at the end of my meal, she made me a special "Kimchi jeon" to take home as a form of "sabisu" (free of charge)! The food was amazing and you can really feel that it was made with love! There will be some older ladies that regularly dine in on this restaurant, and they made us very welcome! Please be kind and nice to them. This really made my Kyoto visit and experience memorable!Reminder: Please have your japanese translator ready if you need to communicate. This made the communication experience a lot better, and you can learn lots of things the more you interact with them!

The best okonomiyaki I had in Japan! The food was delicious, we ate yakisoba, okonomiyaki and drank beer. The owner is a sweet person, we had very nice conversation. Beside language barrier we could talk by translator at phone. We definietly will come back here!
