Two stars for the location and charming landlady however if you’re expecting true zen experience, the photos are very misleading. We were in 1st floor with no balcony or tiny garden in a single room with tiny mattresses, you’re practically sleeping on a hard floor, hardly space to move and have a suitcase or sit (photo taken from opposite wall), sleeping was really bad due to very noisy street, no zen at all. Compare your photos with the below.

The location of this apartment is highly convenient, being close to Kyoto station and having a nearby convenience store (7-Eleven) for quick essentials. However, for a larger supermarket, a longer walk is required.One drawback is the limited kitchen utensils, particularly the lack of a proper knife, which could be inconvenient for guests planning to cook meals.During our stay, we were surprised to find ongoing construction work continuing past 11 pm on regular weekdays. While this isn't the host's responsibility, it's worth noting for light sleepers or those sensitive to noise.Additionally, the apartment might feel a bit dim or dark, which could be improved with better lighting.Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Ka's place.
It is a Japanese-style guesthouse. The owner will answer any questions you have. The space is spacious, bright and clean, making you feel at home. There is good public transport. It is your first choice when visiting Kyoto.

Nuestra estancia en KA House Kyoto ha sido espectacular.La habitación cumple con todo lo necesario y más. Es súper bonita, muy limpia y está muy bien equipada. Tiene balcón, lavadora, fregadero, jabones y muchísimos accesorios útiles para poder usar todo cómodamente durante la estancia. Se nota que han pensado en los detalles.El baño también está totalmente equipado. La ducha es moderna, con chorros bastante buenos, y el váter nos pareció increíble, con muchas funciones e incluso hilo musical. La habitación tiene estilo japonés, con futón, pero nos resultó muy cómoda. Además, cuenta con aire acondicionado, termo que funciona perfectamente y todo lo necesario para sentirse a gusto.La relación calidad-precio nos parece excelente. Pero, sin duda, lo mejor de todo ha sido la atención: la persona que nos atendió fue muy amable, servicial y atenta en todo momento.En resumen, un alojamiento muy recomendable en Kioto: limpio, bonito, cómodo, bien equipado y con un trato excelente. Hemos estado muy a gusto y volveríamos sin dudarlo.
