Absolutely incredible experience! Nobu is a real craftsman and seeing him and his family’s work was a truly humbling experience!! Highly recommend!!!
My husband an I did the studio tour and gold leafing experience with Nob Miyake and his family and it was one of the highlights of our trip! A great way to learn about traditional artisan techniques (with plenty of innovation) and do something different in Kyoto. My husband loved learning about the collaboration with the Batman movies too! Truly an experience we won’t forget - thank you so much 🤍
I loved this experience. I learned a lot about different stages of making a kimono. It is an art what they do. Everything so beautiful, and the family is proud of their work. I will remember this as highlight of my trip. They provide an interpreter and a special DIY souvenir to take home. I also liked it was private tour.
We had a wonderful experience here! We did the interactive workshop where we got to see the production process and then make our own small pieces to take home. The owners were very lovely, they took the time to answer all of our questions and explained everything in detail. Their kimono designs are one of a kind, very beautiful! We also had an excellent translator to help us understand everything properly. Thank you so much!

I had an amazing private workshop. It was fascinating to see every step of how they create beautiful kimono fabrics using dyes, gold leaf, mother-of-pearl via hand crafting. Creating a small gold-leaf piece of fabric was lovely to get a better understanding of how complex the process is. They had organised a translator to help me understand everything.
