石碑：白河南殿跡白河南殿は白河泉殿や白河御所と呼ばれ，のちに設けられた北殿に対し南殿や南本御所とも称された。この地は法勝寺の西方にあたり，大僧正覚円(1031～98)の房舎であったものを白河上皇(1053～1129)の院御所に改めた。敷地の西側には蓮華蔵院の前身となる阿弥陀堂が建立された。この石標は，白河南殿の跡を示すものである。建立年 1976年建立者 京都市寸 法 高90×幅23×奥行23cm碑 文[南] 白河南殿跡[北] 昭和五十一年建立京都市Stone monument: Shirakawa Minamiden ruinsShirakawa Minamiden was called Shirakawa Izumiden or Shirakawa Gosho, and was also called Nanden or Minamihon Gosho in contrast to the Hokuden that was established later. This site is to the west of Hossho-ji Temple, and was originally the residence of Daisojo Kakuen (1031-98) before being converted into the Imperial Palace of Emperor Shirakawa (1053-1129). On the west side of the site was built the Amida Hall, the predecessor of Rengezo-in Temple.
