新鮮なトマトが豊富に揃っていて、目を引きますね。
Hidaka Village is a wonderful place to visit! Even as a foreigner, the people were incredibly kind and helpful.I booked a caving tour, and the guide was able to explain the story of the cave, it's history, and a local ninja legend while we explored.As part of the booking for the cave experience, we were able to visit a small exhibit nearby (where we got our caving equipment) that showed old tools and relics from the village throughout its history.The tourism board office also showed a lot of activities and things around the town too, so we also visited a dragonfly pond nearby (where a sensei was able to point out dragonflies for us to photograph), and where we saw a rare Oni Dragonfly!We also booked a lunch ride down the Niyodo River while enjoying a bento from the shop next door to the boat shop.Lastly (for this trip), we visited the shrine of the local sword artifact, which I believe is the 2nd oldest in Kochi Prefecture, it has a peaceful quiet path, and were able to pay our respects.I visited this town because I wanted to find the origin of my ancestors and pay my respects (they left here over 100 years ago to come to America), but I also met so many kind people, and have fallen in love with the area.I will be back again to see my ancestors, to explore more of Hidaka, and to say hello again to all the amazing people who live and work here.
ここにはたくさんのトマトが売られています。日高村は高知県で一番のトマトの産地です。だから、トマトを使った加工品がたくさんあります。日高村がオムライス街道と言われているのは、トマトが有名だからです。

猿田洞ケイビングに挑戦。案内所から先導されて車で猿田洞まで移動。移動中もガイドさんがトランシーバーでいろいろと説明してくれます。猿田洞の入口に着くと、ヘルメットなど準備して、注意事項の説明。いざ、猿田洞へガイドさんの言うことを守って行動すれば、危なくもなくスムーズに体験できます。全く光のない空間を体験できますよ、是非。地上に出てくるとホッとします。現地解散と聞いていたのですか、車を止めてある施設でお茶やお菓子をいただきました。地元のお茶やオリジナルのお菓子、おいしくいただきました。ありがとうございました。
