I highly recommend this tour. Me and my wife had a blast. Tour guide was bilingual and was able to translate conversations between us and the staff. It also gave us enough confidence in entering other establishments that we have already found and visited several other snack/bar locations.
Kazu-san was very interactive and knowledgeable.Mama-san at the snack-bars we visited were so nice.If you want to have a sneak view of hidden (?) Japanese social life, this tour is unmissable.
What a concept! Experiencing Japanese culture, history, and personal relationships . . . all through an evening of eating, drinking, talking, laughing, and singing your way through Shimbashi's snack bars. What's not to like? All orchestrated and led by Kazu, whose enthusiasm, energy, and clear love for snack bars and people made everything fun. The mamas (and staff) were welcoming and kind, and the regular customers were friendly and fun, and the wonderful experience left me wanting more. Thank you, Kazu and Snack Yokocho!

Had the absolute best night of my trip to Japan!!!!!!!! Kazuhike was the most gracriou host, rescheduling us because we got sick day of our first schedules tour. On the new day when we met him you can tell this is his passion, he is so personable and has such a big personality and he welcomes you like you are his friend. The izakaya was excellent with us getting to choose whatever drinks we wanted and the food was excellent, all the good bar foods!!!!! Then it was off to the snack bar and meeting our Mama!!!! What a wonderfully hidden little place of magic the snack bar and everyone was. It felt like we were at someone's home and drinking with singing and snacking and having a super fantastic amazing time. We will do this tour again when we come back to Tokyo it was so amazing and like I said best night of our 21 day trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a great experience and a fun way to find out more about Tokyo night life and Japanese snack bars.You can indulge in some Karaoke, have a drink with locals and learn about Japanese drinking culture.I would highly recommend these tours for people visiting Japan!
スナックツアーをニュースでみて、参加しました！スナックというと日本人にとっても開けにくいドアでしたが、ガイドの方が楽しくママや常連の方と繋いでくれたので自然と会話が盛り上がりました。スナックが好きでスナックメモを作ってます。これからもツアーに何回か参加して色んなスナックと出会いたいです。

Had a great time on this tour on our last night in Tokyo!Having done tours and drinking in other parts of the city, we wanted to try something that was a little bit closer to after work drinking for locals. This tour and the host (Kazu) really hit on exactly what we wanted. Shimbashi is a great place full of retro charm, and everyone we met, from mama-san at the snack bar to the other patrons were kind and accommodating with us as foreigners! We look forward for doing another snack bar tour when we return.
