京橋一丁目町会の御神輿〒104-0031 東京都中央区京橋1丁目7-3台輪の両脇の四神の彫刻や、鳳凰の表情に注目ということですが、少し見づらい感じです。案内板を文字起こししておきます。また、日本語表記の和暦や単位系より、英語のほうが馴染みやすい気がします。昭和26年：1951年令和4年：2022年二尺三寸：70センチ京橋一丁目町会の御神輿この御神輿は戦後の昭和二十六年に町内の活気を取り戻そうと、京橋一丁目東町会と西町会がひとつになり、行徳関ヶ島の神輿師である後藤直光氏(ごとうなおみつ)に製作してもらったものです。 製作から70年たった令和四年、行徳の中台製作所にて大改修を行っていただきました。台輪(担ぎ棒が通っている土台部分)は二尺三寸ですが、厚みのある木、鋳物製の鳳凰などにより、見た目より重量のある神輿になっています。この神輿の特徴は、こんもりとした屋根に延屋根の反りなどバランスのとれた美しさにあります。また側面の彫刻は、技工をより際立たせるためあえて色を付けない「白木」であり、裏側も彫ることで遠近感を出している「厚み(立体感)」が大きな特徴です。また、台輪の四方に施された四神(青龍・白虎・朱雀・玄武)の彫刻や、鳳凰の表情にも注目してもらえればと思います。京橋一丁目町会Mikoshi of Kyobashi 1-chome Neighborhood Association'sThis Mikoshi (portable shrine) was commissioned by Kyobashi 1-chome East and West Neighborhood Associations unitedly to restore vibrancy in the community. It was crafted in the post-war period of 1951 (Showa 26) by Goto Naomitsu, a renowned Mikoshi artisan from Gyotoku Sekigashima. Seventy years after its inception, in 2022 (Reiwa 4), it underwent thorough refurbishment at Nakadai Manufacturing in Gyotoku. The Dairin (base of the Mikoshi, through which carrying poles pass) is a 70 cm long, and its thick solid wood and cast Phoenix decor makes the Mikoshi heavier than it seems. The distinctive feature of this Mikoshi is its well-balanced beauty, such as the generous curvature of the canopy and the overhanging roofs. Noticeably, the white wood ('Shiraki') side carvings are intentionally left unpainted to accentuate the artistry further, exuding a spatial effect through both front and back carvings a characteristic giving it a hefty depth and volumetric feel.
