Short version:Beautiful wooden products. Especially, the paper lanterns made with thin wood sheets instead of traditional paper. Kindest store owners i’ve ever met. A must go store.短い:美しい木製品。 特に薄板を使う行灯。 私が今まで会った中で最も親切な店主カップル。 絶対に行かなければいかない店。Before or after going to Hasedera, You must go to this store.If you love woodworking, love beautiful natural home appliances or just love cheap window shopping, this place is perfect for it all.The best place to look at cute wood wall decorations, furniture and accessories.The best of all, for me personally, are the beautifully designed paper lanterns called “andon,” but instead of paper, some are use thin sheets of wood instrad (paper ones also available).Gorgeous hard and personalized work put into every lantern. some with drawn colored designs, some elaborately incised to shine a breathtaking scenery for every season, some different wood types and shapes.You think these would go for upwards of 12,000yen+… but They were selling these beautiful lanterns for 4000-6000 (8000 for lanterns around 3ft/90cm and higher quality materials)I couldnt believe it. So i had to get one. i got one with red momiji for my favorite season. If you live far away, you might think bringing a paper or wood lantern back by train or overseas is stupidly inconvenient. But the construction is well made with little/no glue or nails and the wood is lightweight. I took apart everything and the paper/wood sheets with the designs were flattened and safely packed by the store owners.If you dont want to buy anything big, there’s also small unique things like thin wooden postcards too for friends or family.All the products are handmade by the man who works in the shop next door, and the shop is run by his wife, i think. Both were the kindest people i’ve met so far during my trip.Even if you dont have any money, coming into the store felt like walking through a winter christmas workshop (good window shopping place for dates and for anyone who like places that make you feel warm and at home).Coming to this place truly made me happier than any store i’ve been to in Japan so far.You MUST visit here.長谷寺に行く前も後も、必ず行くお店です。木工が好きな人、美しい自然的な家電を探している人、安いウィンドウ ショッピングの場所に行きたい人、すべてにぴったりの場所です。かわいい木製の壁の装飾、家具、アクセサリーを見るのに最適な場所.個人的には紙の代わりに薄い木の板をはめ込んだ行燈が一番おすすめの木製品ですが、様々のものがあります。全てが特別美術品と同じように一生懸命と愛情を含められた手作りです。 彩色された模様が描かれたものや、さまざまな形の木を組み合わせて作られたもの、四季折々の美しい景色を映し出す精巧な彫刻が施されたものなどがあります。これらは12,000円以上になると思います...しかし、たった4000-6000で販売されています.遠くに住んでいたら提灯などを電車や飛行機に持ち帰るのは、とてつもなく不便だと思うかもしれません。しかし、木材は軽量だし、 接着剤や釘をほとんど使用せずによくできたし、安全に分解することができる物です。大きなものを買いたくない場合は、友人や家族のために薄い木製のポストカードなどの日本人でも珍しくて小さい物もあります.隣の工房で働くおじさんの手作りで、お店は奥さんが営んでいます。お金がなくても、店に入るとクリスマス ワークショップのような気分になります (デートや、または暖かくて好きな家族の皆んなが集まってきたのような場所が好きな人には良いお店です)。こちらのお店に来て、今まで日本で行ったどの店よりも本当に最高の気分でした。
