We stayed here in early December.The location is unbeatable: less than 5 min walk to Kodaiji, roughly 15 min to Kiyomizudera, and 5-10 min to the Gion area. The place is located in a small alley, so it may be a bit hard to spot initially.The place is clean. There are two bedrooms in the second floor--onr Western and one Japanese. The first floor is the living area and there is a washing machine, which is convenient for a long stay (there is no dryer though).We booked the stay through Airbnb. The host, Katou San, is friendly and hospitable and very responsive to messages. Definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Kyoto and want to visit this area.
