After 10 days of Japanese food, we were craving a taste of home and happened to find this pizzeria by chance… it was a wonderful surprise.As Italians, we can honestly say that sometimes it’s hard to find a pizza this good and flavourful even in Italy.Many compliments to the owner, who personally prepared our delicious pizzas.Highly recommended if you’re in Kyoto and craving a really good pizza!
Excellent pizza, crisp crust and fresh ingredients. We had a green salad and then a pizza margherita (tomato sauce based) and a Genovese (cheese based and without the ham, cause we’re vegetarian) and both reminded us of the pizza we had in Italy! Young, friendly, enthusiastic staff. Highly recommend. PS: Google Maps got us close but the entrance to the restaurant is around the corner to where it guided us; it’s basically across from the Musoshin ramen place.
Had an amazing experience at PizzaStrada in Kyoto. I ordered the pizza, calamari and chicken wings . They were incredibly delicious and full of flavour. I was absolutely fascinated watching the chef prepare the food right in front of us.A big thank you to the chef for taking the time to come and talk with us, and even taking a picture together. Truly one of the most talented chefs I met during my trip to Japan. It made the experience even more special and memorable.Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kyoto!
Absolutely fantastic pizza, I’ve had amazing pizzas over the past 2 months in Japan but this is the first time I’ve found a delicious pizza with perfect dough AND at a good size (pizzas in Japan are typically much smaller).All the staff were very attentive and friendly- zero complaints.I liked that it was bar seating, it’s fun to watch the pizza chef making the pizza in front of you in a relaxing environment.Highly recommend the Caesar Salad and Meatballs also!This was the first time I had Amaretto in a long time and it was paired perfectly with ginger- I would come back even for just this drink! Loved it all, thank you :)
Absolutely phenomenal!Tried going in last night but saw a massive queue and decided to go in when it might be quieter… we took our chance tonight and made it inside in no time at all!I now understand why they had such a long queue, the food is incredible, the staff are very friendly, the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant is fantastic (we sat on the counter infront of the pizza oven) will definitely be visiting again.The Caesar salad was beautifully crisp and the dressing was perfectly seasoned, you can order it with or without bacon depending on your preference, although the bacon is delicious…The meatballs were very moist and flavourful, the tomato sauce on top really brings it all together.The pizza has to be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, the dough was incredibly light and crisp. Watching the chef work really added to the enjoyment of it, it was truly incredible.The tiramisu was the perfect way to wrap up this meal, not too heavy, but still full of flavour.The drinks they serve are also very well made. I had the limoncello soda, very refreshing and light, it was a great accompaniment to the meal.

ランチで利用しました🍕（1階カウンター席、2階はテーブル席）前菜のタコのマリネは、是非頼んで欲しい一品です！ピザは店員さんにおすすめを聞いて2枚（ビスマルク、ガーリックシュリンプ）を2人でシェアしました。生地は軽め、もちもちでとても美味しかったです😋🍴全体的にメニューの種類が豊富のため、次は大人数で利用したいと思います☺️💗
I highly recommend this new location of Pizza Strada in Kyoto. I’d go as far as to say it’s the best pizza in Kyoto.I highly recommend the Genovese Pesto pizza.I used to frequent the one in Azabu, Tokyo.This new location has an atmosphere that is incomparable to the other location with a modern Japanese Style architecture.You can taste the quality of the ingredients in each dish. Although a bit on the pricier end, it’s worth a visit for the experience and flavors.They have just opened this week so operations is still in the works… But the service is still amazing.

最高に美味しいピザでした。前菜盛り合わせのタコとキノコも絶品。スタッフさんも皆さん感じが良かったです。また行きます:)
