This tea ceremony was most beautiful and I really recommend it for a mindful moment to learn about matcha culture. Also I recommend this for others with coeliac disease since the sweets were naturally gluten free, made from rice flour.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at the tea ceremony! The teacher was very kind and taught us the tradition foundations of a tea ceremony! About 1hr long but very well timed out. The area was clean and the matcha was delicious! I highly recommend!
Had a lovely and very educational tea ceremony experience here. We were able to book last minute the day before and were lucky enough to be the only two people in the morning session so we had our own private ceremony! Our "tour guide" through the experience was so gracious and the whole experience was everything I hoped for in Kyoto.
Very good experience !The explanations on the philosophy and history of the tea ceremony were very clear. We were lucky to be the only customers so we were able to ask a lot of questions to the host. It's a small, cosy place that really feels authentic.The ceremony itself was very relaxing and traditional. The matcha and the sweets were beautiful and taste really great.Then we were told how to make our own matcha with the ceremonial which was very interesting and fun.I would highly recommend it.
We participated in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony and truly enjoyed the experience. We learned about the history and meaning behind it, and were guided through each step with great care and attention to detail.As a special highlight, we even had the chance to prepare our own matcha tea, which made the experience feel very personal and authentic. The setting was beautiful and truly original, creating a calm and immersive atmosphere.A wonderful cultural experience that we can highly recommend!
It was an absolutely wonderful experience! The host was highly professional and, with great passion, introduced us to the fascinating world of matcha. Thanks to her, we were able to truly immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the ceremony and prepare the tea to the best of our ability. We also had the chance to meet amazing people, which made the experience even more special. We are delighted and wholeheartedly recommend it!

This was a lovely and mindful experience on a rainy day in Kyoto.We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and encouraged to learn about the traditions and the care behind each step. We then enjoyed a handsome experience eating traditional sweets and making our own matcha tea. It felt really peaceful and worthwhile, and was very special. Highly recommend!
