天皇陛下御在位六十年記念の特徴
昭和天皇の和歌が刻まれた記念碑が特徴的です。
白虎楼前の松に囲まれた落ち着いた場所にあります。
1987年に建立された歴史的な石碑です。
御製 旅「遠つおやの しろしめしたる 大和路の 歴史をしのび けふも旅ゆく」この歌は、昭和60年（1985年）の歌会始で詠まれたもので、その時のお題は「旅」でした。昭和天皇は、昭和54年から同59年の間に3回も奈良県に行幸されたそうです。この歌の中の「しろしめす」は、統治するの尊敬語らしいです。「しろしめす」は、私的な支配を意味する言葉ではなく、天皇による公的な国内統合を意味する言葉だだそうです。初代の神武天皇や大和（奈良県）を都とした歴代天皇の公的な統治に思いを馳せ詠まれたのでしょう。そして、最後の「けふも旅ゆく」は、国民の平和を守り続けるとの意思のようにも読み取れます。昭和は、第2次世界大戦などが起こる激動の時代でした。陛下のご苦労はご心労は大変なものだったでしょう。Imperial Poem - Travel"Today I will continue my journey, remembering the history of Yamatoji, where my distant father has passed away"This poem was written at the New Year's poetry gathering in 1985, and the theme was "travel".It is said that Emperor Showa visited Nara Prefecture three times between 1979 and 1984.The "shiroshimesu" in this poem is apparently a respectful form of "rule"."Shiroshimesu" does not mean private rule, but rather the public unification of the country by the Emperor.The poem was written with thoughts of the first Emperor Jimmu and the public rule of the successive emperors who made Yamato (Nara Prefecture) their capital. And the last line, "Today I will continue my journey", can also be interpreted as a will to continue to protect the peace of the people. The Showa era was a turbulent time with the Second World War and other events occurring. His Majesty's hardships and worries must have been enormous.

令和6年 8月16日 京都夏の旅☀️🍉🌻🏊天皇陛下御在位六十年記念これは昭和62年（1987年）に、昭和天皇の御在位60年（金婚式にあたる）を祝して建立された石碑で、白虎楼の前に松の木に囲まれて建っており、昭和天皇の和歌が刻まれています。平安神宮自体は平安遷都1100年を記念して創建されましたが、この記念碑は天皇陛下の長寿と在位を祝うもので、神宮の境内にある重要な記念物です。
