A cute and cozy cafe with a view of the forest. It is named after the Banyan Tree that lives on the land.The food was so nourishing and delicious, simple but not to be mistaken for plain. Vegetarian option available.Loved the homely and friendly vibe, thanks to the friendly staff who can speak some English!

What a lovely little restaurant. Peaceful atmosphere, elegant plates, welcoming staff. (P.S. Theres also a cool 30-min-ish hike across the road)
This was our favourite meal in Japan! Incredible food, drinks and atmosphere. Everything is unique and made with local ingredients. Super friendly staff. Surrounded by nature. Make sure you visit!
森の中の落ち着いたカフェ。目の前のバンヤン（ガジュマル）に向き合うとこころが和みます🌳東ティモールのお料理というのはイメージがなかったですが、口に優しく、身体にあたたかいお料理でとてもおいしかったです。
県道沿いで見つけやすい。木に囲まれた静かな空間で、ガジュマルの前には広いデッキもあって、ゆっくり出来そうです。前菜の、たしか東アジアのポテサラがとても美味しかったです。野菜も地元産の有機の物を多く使っていて、野菜自体が美味しかったです。
Amazing food. The deer stew was stellar, especially with a green tea IPA to wash it down. It was a good end to my walk on the Onoaida Cultural Forest trail, just across the street.”
屋久島の森の中に佇むリジェネラティブ建築のカフェ。穏やかな空間の中、地元の方だけでなく、英語も堪能なスタッフの方々に、海外からのお客様もリラックスのご様子。4歳の娘と一緒でしたが、子連れでも安心して過ごせるお店でした。

the owner is Super friendly.We met him on our adventures on the island witch prompted us to go to the resturant.Such a lovley relaxing retreat surounded by nature with great food.And a breath of fresh air if you are looking for vegan/vegitarian food!
