Probably one of my favorite shops in all of Japan. The pottery and ceramics selection and quality are all unique with its own story. If you are going to Miyajima island, bringing home a local ceramic is a must!“Miyajima's osuna potteryThe beginning of Miyajima's osuna pottery dates back to the Edo Period (1603 - 1863).During this time, the people of Hiroshima collected the sand from under the Main Shrine at Itsukushima as a good luck charm for safe travels before setting out on their journeys.When they returned, they mixed the original sand with sand from their destination and returned double the amount to the Main Shrine in a tradition known as osuna-gaeshi, or 'returning the sand.Miyajima's osuna pottery is filled with sand from Itsukushima Shrine”
Lovely shop with Japanese pottery, kimonos, and hand crafted goods. The owner was very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had

Preciosa tienda de artesanía local. El dueño súper amable.Tienen cerámica, cuchillos, kimonos…Recomendable por lo menos entrar de camino al templo Daisho-in!
職人さんのお宅だった所をリノベーションされたお店だそうです。玄関からそのまま土足で上がれます(ちょっと抵抗がありましたが😅)中では食器やコースターなどがあります。奥には着物を売っているスペースもあるようです。入り口脇にはお手頃価格の食器が並んでおり、お茶碗をお迎えしました。梱包も丁寧にして頂き無事持ち帰れました☺️また伺いたいです👍ありがとうございます。
古民家リノベーションの素敵なお店です。扱っている商品(着物や器、茶托)はどれも素晴らしかったです。女性物のお着物はもちろん、男性用着物のバリエーションも豊富でした。素敵な店主さんから伝統工芸やリノベーションの背景のお話などを聞くことができてとても心地よい時間が過ごせました。
This was the best and most impressive place I visited in Itsukushima. I was happy to meet the owner, who kindly shared how he and his wife renovated this old building and understand its historical value. I must say, it’s a really good conservation effort—one that learns from history and respects authenticity, using original materials to breathe new life into the structure. The pottery and many artworks are also unique, each with its own story. BIG THANK YOU!!!
ほっこりと落ち着いた雰囲気の素敵なお店です💞今日は軽くて着心地のいいワンピースをゲットしました✨有機栽培のコーヒーは、まろやかでとっても美味しかったです👍宮島に渡った時には、またお伺いしたいです💝
とても 雰囲気のいい すてきな ゆったりと出来る お店でした すてきな着物や 器も あって 美味しいコーヒーも 飲めて 大満足でした(^_^)
