“Kabuto Iwa” is located at the foot Kujirayama near Benzaitengu and is easy to miss at first glance. The name means “helmet rock” as it is a natural rock that takes the shape of a helmet. In the Showa 40’s, this area was still shoreline and children used to climb the rock and play on the beach. Now, only the rock remains among the land and seawater flows in around it through a pipe.
