Pretty easy experience overall. We didn’t have a reservation for the car ferry, but as soon as we arrived, the staff were very organised. Most of them spoke Japanese, but there was a clear English sign showing destinations, so we could just point to where we were going. They asked if we already had tickets, and when we didn’t, they directed us to the right booth for tickets and info.Once we lined up, the attendant told us to take our vehicle handbook and go inside to complete the process — it was all very straightforward. The ferry was cash only, so that’s worth noting, but overall it was smooth and easy to navigate even without much Japanese.
