I was a bit nervous renting from an unknown company, but Orix is pretty well-known in Japan, so that helped ease my mind. Neither the staff spoke English, but we were able to communicate easily with Google Translate. They were super friendly and helpful. They walk you through any scratches or dents on the car at the beginning, so make sure to check everything and document it. I trust that this company is honest and won’t try to charge you for anything you didn’t do.We didn’t get extra insurance, just used my personal insurance and credit card coverage. We also rented an ETC card, which made driving on toll roads super easy, though it added up a bit, especially if you’re driving far. Still, it was worth it to save time on faster roads. You pay for the tolls at the end when you check out, and they give you copies of everything. The car was clean, well-maintained, and had only a few minor scuffs. The location is really close to the train station, so it was easy to get there. The prices were very affordable, and I’d recommend booking directly through them rather than a third-party site. I booked online and just translated the page to make sure I understood everything. They also had a good deal for new members, so I made an account with them as well.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Orix!
