I stopped by for matcha goodies and ended up coming back twice because we loved it so much. Their products were fairly priced with a great variety to choose from. The shop is run by an elderly couple who were incredibly kind and patient while we took our time picking what to buy. They may not speak much English, but using a translator made everything smooth and easy. Such a warm and lovely experience I highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic matcha treats
The lady is incredibly kind. Even though they don’t speak English well, they do their best to communicate and explain everything to you with a smile. Lovely couple!
ならまちを訪れると必ず立ち寄る、大和茶のお店。こちはのほうじ茶を常用しています。ガラス戸を開けた先の店内にはお店の方の折り紙作品も飾られていて、いろんな大きさの鹿や龍、訪れた日は来年の干支である馬（午）の折り紙作品もありました。
Went on a Saturday at around 9:30AM. There were no lines nor customer around. An elderly lady helped me with my matcha purchase. I think they have a limit of 1 can per person as I was able to purchase 2 because my cousin is with me. There is no english menu so I had to guess which matcha to get. There are 2 matcha kind that was sold out already. The lady was not rude or anything and even reminded me that I should refrigerate the matcha that I purchased. Glad to have stumbled upon this place!
I went in around 4pm, there was no one other than me. Lady came out and said matcha sold out. I saw the counter was full of matcha like the pics here show but don’t be fooled, they are not for sale. Perhaps they are empty cans for display. I asked if she sells those on display she said no.
Je pense que ce magasin n’est pas trop fait pour les étrangers. La dame n’a pas été très agréable avec moi, je suis peut être tombée sur son mauvais jour… j’ai essayé de lui demander ses recommandations elle m’a à peine répondue et lorsque je réfléchissais dans la boutique elle soufflait d’impatience, ça m’a gênée et je me suis sentie de trop.Je pense que si vous êtes japonais c’est une très belle expérience mais on ressent en tant que touriste qu’on est pas les bienvenus.
This little shop tucked away in a corner of a small alley was the best matcha shop I have ever been to. The elderly couple were so sweet and welcoming to us and the quality of the matcha is great also. We were lucky to stumble upon this shop and I rarely write reviews but I couldnt help writing one for this cute matcha store.
茶粥や茶飯文化の奈良。四半世紀ほど前に奈良公園に隣接したテナントビルに起業した事務所を構え、来客用を兼ねてお茶類を探していたところ、『焙じ茶はありませんか?』と訊ねると『あぁ、お粥さんのお茶？』と言われ、焙じ茶には舌の肥えた土地柄なんだろうなと改めて再認識したのですが、いま焙じ茶はこの店の香り高い味が大のお気に入り♪真冬に赤福餅本店の土瓶の焙じ茶をズズッと啜る時に近い美味しいお茶ですよ。

A very good place to buy matcha! Me and my husband bought two 40g cans of matcha, and it’s sold at an affordable price too! Old lady very nice to us, helping us with the matcha purchase. Please visit and support them!
