御間道（おあいみち）とは、「本宮（大宮）」と「若宮」を結ぶ参道のことです。春日大社には本殿（大宮）のほかに、その御子神を祀る「若宮神社」が南側に鎮座しており、この2つを繋ぐ約100メートルほどの道が「御間道」と呼ばれます。850年以上もの間、神職や崇敬者が往復してきた祈りの道です。御間型灯籠（おあいがたとうろう）とは、御間道の両脇にずらりと並んでいる灯籠のことで、火を灯す部分（火袋）が檜（ひのき）で作られた立方体になっています。

令和6年 5月2日 GW 京都 奈良御間型灯籠 春日大社御間道の左右に並ぶ燈籠のこと。檜で出来た立方体の火袋が特徴的です。
御間型灯籠（おあいがたとうろう）という御本社（大宮）と若宮との間にある道を御間道（おあいみち）といい、この道の左右に並ぶ燈籠のことをさす。
