Last night, I had the pleasure of visiting a cozy little izakaya tucked away in a quiet street, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Japan. This place isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a doorway into traditional Japanese culture and warm hospitality.The menu was simple yet delightful, featuring classic dishes like gyoza, nabe (Japanese hot pot), teba gyoza (chicken wings stuffed with gyoza filling), and kushiyaki (grilled skewers). Each dish was prepared with incredible care, and the flavors carried a certain nostalgic charm — as if made from an old family recipe. In fact, the couple who run the izakaya told us that many of the recipes came from their grandmother, and you could really taste the history and love in every bite.But what truly made this place special was the couple themselves. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and full of energy. Even with a language barrier, they made sure we felt at home, engaging us with stories, laughter, and a few rounds of drinks. Their warmth and enthusiasm created a lively, intimate atmosphere that made it feel less like a restaurant and more like a gathering with old friends.If you’re looking to experience real traditional Japanese food and genuine Japanese hospitality, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s not just a meal — it’s a beautiful cultural experience that stays with you long after you leave
どの料理を食べても美味しいです。店内も落ち着きのある感じでゆっくりできてありがたいです。店主さんも奥さんも気さくで愛想も良くてお気に入りのお店です。
料理の幅も広くて、いつでもいける雰囲気のいいお店です。餃子鍋が絶品でした。行くところに困ったらとりあえずここに行けば間違いないというお店です。
ごはんも美味しくて、お酒の種類もたくさんありました！またリピしたいです！
絶品。どれを頼んでも全部美味しいです。お値段もリーズナブルでまたすぐ行きたくなります。カウンターもあるので1人でも行きやすいです。
JR西大路駅から徒歩8分ぐらいにあり、大通りから1本入った民家の中にぽつんとある隠れ家的なお店。2024年12月13日にオープンされたお店らしく、気さくな若いご夫婦で営業されてました！！すぐ近くでテイクアウトのみで水餃子🥟や焼き餃子などのお店をされていたらしく、水餃子めっちゃ美味しかったです！✨ちなみに他にも少し珍しい串焼きのメニューもあり、リーズナブルな金額で食事とお酒を楽しめました！！赤身わさびと手羽餃子と水餃子の鍋、後は店主のおばあちゃんが作られているおばあちゃんの惣菜メニューがとても美味しかったです！
