He doesn't speak English and I don't speak Japanese. But like a love that's meant to be, we understood each other and I got a damn fine haircut.

Meticulous haircut from a true craftsman. What a pleasant experience. I got the full treatment. Haircut, beard trim, face massage, and straight razor shave. He has some laminated cards with translations in English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish. I just told him it's been 5 weeks and let him go to work! Go visit if you need a haircut or want a unique Japanese experience!
I would also like to recommend this barbershop!I needed a cut but could not explain it in japanese, I showed the nice barber a picture and that was all he needed, he managed to do exactly the style I wanted, a very good fade as well.The barber is master with scissors and gave me a full treatment to the face with warm towels, steam, I was very pleased to use his service.
It is more than just a haircut, you are experiencing Japanese craftsmanship and service.You can tell, he treat every steps from start to finish with care and attention to details.Styling is subjective, I was keeping it simple, I use the translation apps, just mention short on the side and keep it long on the top, make it look good.I am impressive and happy. Plus I was there late, he still takes his time to get my haircut done properly.
I was excited to get my haircut here in Kyoto. Took a chance and I am extremely happy that I did. Got a cut and a straight razor shave. Eat haircut experience I have ever had. 5500 yen for everything. Would have paid $100 easily for this treatment in the US. Does not accept credit card so bring cash. Very friendly.
A quaint little babershop near Tokyo Station. No language barriers. I had the best cut and shave in years. 💯
Found this shop through google while staying at a nearby hotel. Found the place easily. It's a compact but well equipped and laid out shop. The owner was wonderful! Welcoming and enthusiastic. Does not speak English, and I don't speak Japanese, but we still had a great conversation! He's so exact with his skills, I received a fantastic haircut and some great laughs.Highly recommend.

This place was amazing! I just got a beard trim and not a haircut. Not many barbers in Kyoto know how to line up beards, but he did! I showed him a picture of how I want my beard to look and he replicated it perfectly! Him and his mom run the shop and they are super sweet and friendly. Highly highly recommend.
