My family spent 3 nights at Tomo’s place. He’s Airbnb was comfortable and there are many thoughtful details you wouldn’t get in a hotel. He was also our guide for the area. He gave us many options of activities we’d like to experience, some of which wasn’t even in my radar of things to see like the green tea farm!
Beautiful traditional lodging with extremely comfortable beds. You have the choice of a tradition room or a wonderfully furnished modern room upstairs. The host Tomo is incredibly helpful and loves to share Japans culture with all of his guests. If you get the chance I would also highly recommend Tomo’s tea room just next to the house.
Tomo and his inn are absolutely fantastic and one of our favorite places to visit in Nagoya. He's extremely helpful with everything and has a deep understanding of the historical sights, historical importance of many unique and special places. Highly recommend his guided tours as you are able to learn a lot more than just walking about, and he knows popular areas + unique nooks. Tomo is the most interesting man in Japan, and has probably visited your country, and might even speak your language!
We had a great time staying at Tomo's inn. We where warmly welcomed by Tomo when we arrived and immediately connected over our shared love for whiskey. After we finished the topic whiskey we got a lot of good tips for things we could do in the vicinity of the accomodation, and for the rest of our trips, it seems Tomo knows all the best places in Japan, not just in Nagoya! When we went inside to take a look in the apartment we where pleasantly surprised by a lovely accomodation. We really enjoyed our stay. And would strongly recommend staying at Tomo's inn.
初めて宿泊しましたが親切丁寧なオーナーさん、綺麗なお部屋、バーベキューも楽しめて最高でした‼︎また利用させてもらいます🙌
Tomo was our host, tour guide and translator for our trip. He is an amazing, cheerful and thoughtful host. His van and tours included secret places that you wouldn’t see otherwise. The tea room is clean and comfortable with a new bathroom and shower. It has a microwave, small fridge and teapot. The space is traditional and delicate so please be responsible guests so more people can enjoy it too.

Tomo is an eager and personable guide, and we had a lovely time when he helped organise a birthday at the waterfall. He could be better at customer service though.||||That said, as a family with a small child and a baby with no car the accommodation did not work out for us at all. It was very clean and there was just about enough space but:||||1. There was a lot of random things around like plastic katanas and huge umbrellas that took up space and cluttered the area||2. Overgrown plants block the door to the room, my baby got scratched trying to get in||3. Everywhere you turn there are condescending signs telling you not to make a mess and to be respectful and not to lie, for some reason? Some of the signs are repeated, too. ||4. One of the signs said not to open the window. Which means no light in the small space even in the bright summer days.||5. We also booked specifically because it looks like there would be an outdoor space to sit outside for a bit but the outside space was so cluttered I just sat inside the whole day. ||6. The clutter included car batteries - I could not let my kids near that.||7. Also included big containers of mosquito-ridden still water||8. Reviews say that the area is walkable - while that might be true, the options are a bit sad, so might be OK for a short stay but not any more than 2-3 days I reckon||||We decided to check out early, and sent messages until after midnight to ask about checking out. We didn't get a reply, so left the key at reception. ||||We exchanged messages afterwards to figure out payment, and instead of figuring out a way to solve technical issues Tomo turned pretty threatening - here's where I think guest support was severely lacking. I wish him the best but I would not come here again.
