The tendon was extremely greasy to the point it was hard to continue eating. Since I’ve been to tempura makino in Osaka I had high expectations because that branch was phenomenal but it was just so much and so oily. It looked really good but when they put the tendon down the eel started leaking oil all over the table, it’s good they provide napkins to clean it. The pumpkin was still raw in the middle and yellow too, too hard to eat. It’s a shame since it cost almost 3000yen. The staff was super kind but the food terrible. They provide ochazuke but even after pouring the broth over it I couldn’t continue eating it.
This place has much fewer people because i think this is a new branch. We were welcomed warmly and nicely. The food is the main star, the tempura is crunchy and savoury. It is the first tempura restaurant that we eat since when my family and I came in japan. Great food and great staff.
Absolutely brillant tempura. I think it was the best Tempura/Tendon I've ever had.Although everything is fried, I never got sick of it and each and every single thing was sooo tasty and well prepared.Everything for just about 2000-2500¥.I personally rate it a 4.8(visited on 11.10.2025)
很棒的天婦羅名店的分店！應該剛開幕幾個月，跟本店比起來人流還不多，完全不用排隊，就可以吃到名店的風味，而且整體環境非常乾淨整潔！炸物的部分非常酥爽不油膩，尤其是季節定食內的炸茄子與秋刀魚，完全顛覆了我對這兩種食材的想像，酥脆的麵衣下山柔嫩多汁且非常鮮甜的口感，超級推薦！
Originally walked to the Tendon Makino Kyoto Teramachi天丼まきの 京都寺町店, but it was busy. However, the worker was really nice and walked us to this location which is 3 min away. The food was great and very filling.Their summer special tempura set was fantastic. A huge portion for a very reasonable price. The ume-plum tartar sauce was a standout. The iced matcha tea was delicious too.
마키노 텐동 분점? 같아요. 문연지 4달정도 됐다네요.서머 스페셜 텐동, 세트a 먹었는데 오징어랑 새우튀김이 너무 맛있네요. 다른 튀김도 다 바삭바삭하니 신선하고 맛있었어요. 직원분들도 매우 친절합니다.교토방문하면 또 올것 같아요~~👍👍👍
Taste good. The portion a little bit big for me, but still okay. Cozy place, also really classic interior. I recommend to bring friend with good appetite because my experience that my colleague can't finish his bowl because it's too much for him.

A comida é ótima, o serviço muito bom. Eu apenas acho que as porções são muito grandes. Sempre vou e sempre saio passando mal de tanto de que comi. Isso me faz querer ir menos frequentemente. Poderiam oferecer uma porção menor para quem não aguenta. As minhas amigas deixaram bastante comida no prato, uma pena o desperdício.
