It was one of the best experiences we've had here in Japan. We booked through a website we didn't know and came all the way from Osaka just for the concert. It was wonderful, I have no words to describe it. It was a small group of only 8 people, super intimate, everyone was very kind and welcoming!
The concert and class was so fun! I would recommend this activity to everyone. The guide and performer were both very kind and friendly. I liked the selection of music, the intimate small group setting, and the flow of the program. The class was the cherry on top and made it 1000% more fun.
My partner booked this amazing experience because I’ve always been a fan of traditional Japanese music, but let me tell you : Fu-Ran on the koto and shamisen is out of this world.It goes by so fast but I was brought to tears. Minnie the host was awesome, as was Shohei the co-Founder. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this experience. Everyone is lovely and welcoming and I wish them an immense success, with lots of admiration from France :)

One of our most beloved experiences in Kyoto.We loved Kyoto’s expertise in playing and the detailed explanations of the history and use of the instruments.We booked for a workshop and had fun playing the instruments, actually creating music that sounded nice - with Kyoto’s supervision.Highly recommend this event, held in a small single fronted town house at the end of a dark lane.We weren’t sure we were in the correct spot at first, but there was a small a frame sign by the door and one of the musicians came out.
One of the best parts of my stay in Kyoto. You could tell how connected to the instruments and music the artist, Kyoko, was, and I was so honored for her to share that connection with me. The show was informative and entertaining. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
One of the highlights of our trip to Japan was an unforgettable night in Kyoto, where we enjoyed FU-RAN's wonderful performance featuring traditional musical instruments. This intimate glimpse into Japanese culture stood in stark contrast to the major attractions, such as ancient temples, castles, modern buildings, and towers. It’s definitely worth it if you can get tickets!

We were welcomed by a kind hostess into a cozy and beautifully designed setting, creating the perfect atmosphere to appreciate the music. The performer, Aoi, is incredibly talented, performing on traditional Japanese instruments. The connection between the artist and the small audience made the concert feel personal and truly special. A five-star experience in every way—highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique evening!
It was an awesome experience with very nice and authentic locals, the performer was an astonishing music professional on top of that. I would recommend for anyone who is interested in traditional music and/or instruments and wants a great time in a small group with a little less big city buzz!
