A great and cheaper alternative to the Viewland chairlift. This is an easy 30min hike up the mountain towards a viewpoint from which you can see the Amanohashidate land strip from above. After crossing the train tracks go right up the stairs and follow the stairs. The trail makes a left turn after which you find a intersection with a landmark. Follow the path straight and upwards until you get to the viewpoint. Lovely hike through the woods which easily saves you 1000yen!
