友人からの紹介でワークショップを予約させていただきました。自らの手で錫の器が不可逆に変わっていく様は緊張感を感じますが、オーナーが優しく丁寧に教えてくださるので楽しく体験することができました。おかげで出来たコップも大変満足のいく出来になりました。キラキラと反射した光がステンドグラスの光のようで気に入っています。大事に使わせていただいています。ワークショップも素晴らしい体験でしたが、オーナーさんがとても優しく楽しい素晴らしい方で、あっという間に時間が過ぎ去っていってしまいました。もし、京都でどこかワークショップに参加を検討されている方はぜひお勧めさせていただきます。
Booked the pewter sake cup workshop directly through the gallery’s website as a surprise activity for my partner while visiting Kyoto. We had such an amazing experience making pewter sake cups under the kind, encouraging teaching from Kanako-san :) she was so knowledgeable and welcoming, we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher! We are leaving Kyoto not only with beautiful pewter sake cups but also with great memories from this workshop. Cannot recommend enough!
We had an amazing time making our own pewter sake cups! Kanako was very sweet as well, we had a lovely time with her. The process was explained very well and enjoyable, and we immediately got to try some sake from our cups.
Easily the best experience we have had in Japan, making our own sake cups that we will treasure forever. The owner, Kanako, is so kind and helpful as she guides you through the whole process. She is an absolute delight, I truly cannot recommend this experience enough.

I had a great afternoon making my own sake cup. You really feel that the owner Kanako is skillful and loves her craft. She was a great teacher and gave me helpful insights into Kyotos crafting history.
My husband, mom, and sister all had an incredible time taking the private pewter sake cup making workshop at Saluk! The owner, Kanako, was an absolute pleasure to work with, and she helped us all create beautiful and unique sake cups. It was such a highlight of our recent trip to Japan! If you are deciding whether or not to sign up for the class, I would highly recommend you do it. You will not regret it!
Had a phenomenal time here making sake cups with the owner, who speaks a bit of English. The experience is great, and I would recommend this highly if you're looking for a place to get a feel for why the craft works cost as much as they do.It's an excellent place with an excellent experience and the owner is very friendly too!

My Partner and I had an excellent time at the pewter cup–making class run by Kanako at SALUK Studio.The experience was fun, hands on, and genuinely fascinating.Kanako is a patient and encouraging teacher whose warm hospitality makes the workshop feel special. Her talent as an artisan shines through in every step of the process, along with the exquisite items that are available in her studio.The studio’s beautiful mountain setting—just a short train ride from Kyoto—adds even more charm to the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable activity.Bonus is you get to create and keep a beautiful functional piece of art.
