It was truly an incredible experience visiting Kimono Yorozuya Kanontei, the owner took all the time I needed to chose a Kimono as a gift for my friend. And I found the perfect one! The prices are very reasonable aswell, and I got to meet the shy Shiba Inu before I left! Overall, 100% recommend if you're looking for a Kimono or Yukata.
I really enjoyed this vintage shop! There were a lot of great options for kimono, yukata, and haori, as well as various accessories. Everything was priced very well. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the dog was very cute too!
I visited this kimono/yukata shop on my final afternoon in Toyama and I was so impressed. The owner was incredibly helpful, suggesting colours and types that might suit me and helping me try them on.There was such a varied selection, I wanted to buy at least 4 or 5 but I was sadly limited by the size of my suitcase. All the kimono/yukata are 3000 yen and were in great quality.I would recommend anyone who is in Toyama and interested in buying, to check this place out and I guarantee that you will leave with something that you will treasure.
The shop offers an assortment of second hand kimono, obi, and other kimono accessories. The merchandise is in good condition and the price was very fair. About 2000 to 3000 yen for an obi, yukata, or casual kimono.The owner is a kind and knowledgeable woman who has studied kimono since she was young. She speaks some English. We also used a translation phone app to fill in the gaps. Over all, we were able to communicate very effectively!Compared to the average Japanese woman, I’m a little on the tall side (5ft 6inches). However, I was still able to find kimono that fit me! The owner showed me how to identify if a kimono fits me or not. The kimono I selected weren’t technically a “perfect” fit, but the owner explained how to wear a kimono that is slightly shorter than ideal.The owner worked with me to pick out several outfits. When I asked, she provided color combination recommendations. She also showed me how to correctly fold the kimono, and didn’t rush me when I practiced folding the kimono myself.I was also interested in getting zori, but she only had some getta. The owner was still helpful and provided a website recommendation to buy zori. She showed me a pair of zori she bought from the same business and told me she has worn them for 8 years!When I asked for another used kimono store nearby, she also provided a recommendation. I ended up purchasing 5 kimono, 4 obi, 1 obi age, and 1 juban. This cost me a little over $200 US. I’m so please with my purchases!
The selection and customer services are both exceptional. The price is amazing. They have flat pricing for different items. All kimono I was looking were 3000 yen. The store is extremely charming and cozy. It is inside a traditional Japanese house. Don’t be afraid to go in, if they are open they will come to the door and welcome you.

My family had an amazing experience renting kimonos for a photoshoot from this wonderful gem of a shop! The owner is an incredibly sweet and thoughtful lady who went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. She patiently taught us how to properly wear the kimonos, which was such a huge help. The service was top-notch—attentive, kind, and truly dedicated to making our experience perfect. The kimonos themselves were beautiful and made our photoshoot unforgettable. Highly recommend this service for anyone looking to make special memories in a traditional and meaningful way!
暑い中自宅に来ての和箪笥整理をして頂きました。着ないものの、何も確認せず丸々どこかの業者に渡すかすぐ処分、という気持ちになれなかったところ、こちらに辿り着きました。一枚一枚丁寧に扱って下さり、箪笥周りの掃除迄して頂いてありがとうございました。残った着物がどうなるかわかりませんが、どれも自分で選んだ着物達、大事にします。
お洒落で落ち着いた素敵なお店でした^^珈琲も美味しかったです！
