What surprise to see this cute little shop in Gyoda today. We visited their sister shops in Yame a few weeks ago, so we were more than happy to visit this one as well. They stock traditional monpé pants in all sorts of beautiful colours and hand made tabi amongst other beautifully crafted items. Like in Yame, we could not resist and ended up with some more items that we will cherrish for many years to come. The owners made us feel very much at home. Too busy trying on monpé, so forgot to take photos unfortunately. Thank you guys for making our afternoon in Gyoda so special.
One of the best craft and design shops I have seen in Japan. The space, located in the former offices of a tabi shoe workshop, is the perfect setting for a sublime selection of products ranging from textiles, footwear, ceramics and woodwork. Everything has been chosen from different prefectures in order to showcase the best of local design and craftsmanship.Thank you, Taka & Shiho, for this fantastic and much-needed project.

和と手作りにこだわったセレクトショップ。築100年超の古い店舗を活かして作られたお店の雰囲気がとてもオシャレです。オーナーは若い方ですが、とても親しみやすく誠実な人柄で色々お話できて楽しかったです。
