Great fun experience for all ages. We we t with our 12 year old daughter but it's great from younger ages too. Naomi was our teacher and she was patient and fun. Thank you for a great experience 🙏😊

I had the privilege of taking part in a private Japanese calligraphy lesson in Kanazawa, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.I was welcomed into the master’s studio, a quiet and inspiring space that immediately conveyed a sense of tradition and focus.He carefully explained the tools, including the brushes made with a mix of horse and goat hair, and the process of preparing the black ink from scratch.Step by step, he demonstrated how to write the characters and patiently guided me throughout the entire lesson.His teaching style was gentle, attentive, and deeply respectful of the art.Even as a beginner, I felt supported and encouraged at every moment.At the end of the experience, he presented me with a traditional Japanese scroll featuring the character I had chosen and written myself.It was an incredibly meaningful and personal souvenir.This experience is not just a lesson, but a cultural and almost spiritual journey.I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanazawa who wants to connect with Japanese culture in an authentic and memorable way.
