Very friendly owner who understands and slightly speaks English. She has beautiful handmade products she sells. She offers experience making classes like washi paper covered Chabuko (traditional cha= tea Buko= box), and origami made from kimonos. This is a must visit place while in Misawa. Tea box workshop was about an hour. We recommend coming one day before and picking the paper colors and then scheduling the class the following day. We were a group of 4. You can also buy supplies and materials. Everything was well organized and ready for us to use. Easy to follow steps.

The Nakashio family runs a beautiful gift store. They have all kinds of Japanese gifts ranging from bamboo fans & fine porcelain to Washi covered boxes & baskets. They sell washi paper, too if you want to cover your own boxes. (traditional handmade fibrous & colorful paper).

The most incredible selection of some of the finest in Japanese products and Japanese themed items. If looking for a gift, and you can't find it here, I don't know what to tell you. There is a little of everything. Beautiful papers, tea pots, wind chimes, sake sets, coin and wallets. Cards, a most diverse selection. The shop owner and all her staff are so wonderful, patient, and kind. I shop there with great regularity! Go visit, explore!
