One of the best up-and-coming brewers in Japan! We were fortunate enough to stay overnight and sample both the beers and the hospitality. Head Brewer Mehdy isn’t afraid to experiment across styles — sours, hazies, lagers, porters — and he consistently nails the balance.The setting is truly special! The brewery operates out of a beautifully renovated 1898 kominka just a few hundred metres from the ocean in Minamibōsō, Chiba, surrounded by rice fields, forest and bamboo groves. I even spotted a wild-boar trail. The perfect escape from busy Tokyo life.If you can visit on a weekend, the tap-room is open Sat–Sun, 10:00-19:00.I believe that Kaigan Brewery also has sister tap-rooms in Tokyo under “Coaster Craft Beer & Kitchen” (Shimokitazawa and Aobadai), which makes finding their beers convenient if you can’t make it down to Minamibōsō. Their brews often feature as guest beers at venues like The Warrior Celt and Tokyo BeerZilla in Tokyo.Warm team, relaxed countryside vibe, inventive beers executed with precision. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

最高なブルワーの一つに入ります!2年前に探したときは見つからず今回はすんなり。改装中にも関わらずフィリップさんのフレンドリーな説明に感謝。２ヶ月後位にはタップルームもオープンするとのことで絶対行こうと思います😊
I stopped by the Brasserie after discovering their excellent beers at the Coaster bar (I loved the Rebel Scum). I met Philippe, one of the owners, and Medhi, the brewer. Great welcome, top-notch tasting (special mention for the Ogama and Bakekujira), you can feel the passion of these two people. Their enthusiasm and good humor are infectious!I can't wait for my next trip to Japan to discover the brewery's new extension (draught service and shower area for surfers).Keep going guys, you're doing a great job!
Very tasty craft beer. This was my first visit to the brewery and I really liked the beer and the atmosphere. The brewery area also left pleasant memories especially the Japanese style house. I recommend visiting this place.

100年物の古民家を改築・増築して営まれている小さなブルワリー。訪問客を受け入れる土曜日には、日本語堪能なフランス人たちが醸造所内を快く案内してくれる。白ビールや黒ビール、各種IPA、期間限定品などビールの種類は豊富。ただし、その場で樽から注いでもらえる試飲用ビールは大概2～3種（1パイント1000円、ハーフパイント500円）で、こちらは日によって銘柄が変わる。天気がよければ庭の東屋でくつろぎ、都内のレストランから運ばれてくる各種ツマミとともに注ぎたてのビールを味わいたい。現地で試飲できないドライバーや友人知人へのお土産には、缶ビール3本セット（2000円）がオススメだ。
