Recently I went on a tour with Clement from drivers lounge and I rented their s15 for the 3 hour daikoku tour. I actually booked this tour very last minute but clement had great communication throughout the whole process. This was my first time doing a driving tour/renting a car in Japan and I couldn’t recommend it enough. I would recommend this tour or drivers lounge specifically because being that I’m from the USA, driving in Japan is way different. But wearing the headset and having a pro guide me throughout the tour really provided confidence during the tour and assured I and the car stayed safe. Drivers lounge fleet was all very clean and the car felt very solid. I would absolutely recommend touring with them.
Did the Hakone-Izu tour. Cannot express enough how wonderful of an experience this was. From booking to briefing to driving every part was well thought out and exceptional. Vibes were immaculate. Josh our guide is exactly what you’re looking for in an experience like this - responsible but not afraid to have some fun.Cars are all in great shape, however please know that 30 year old cars will do 30 year old car things (seat belt holder might rattle-some trim might be worn, if you’ve ever owned one of these cars this won’t phase you) but they all drive exceptionally well. Mechanically perfect with really well sorted suspension set ups.Lunch spot was super cute and a very respectable meal for the cost.Scenery was stunningMy girlfriend came with me and she had a blast. The group we had out was really sweet.I’d recommend this over renting a single car and going out on your own. Having someone who knows the roads, the local conditions, and when and where to let loose was invaluable.Just book it.
Had a fantastic experience with Drivers Lounge! It's always been a dream of mine to drive iconic JDM cars on Japan's famous roads. Driver's Lounge made that dream a reality. From start to finish the tour was smooth and exceeded my expecations in every way.The key difference between Drivers Lounge and other car rental/tour companies is being able to drive multiple cars on a single tour instead of just one. In our case it was the DC5 Type R, RX-7, R35 GTR, and Suzuki Alto. Getting seat time in all these cars made the tour that much better.I enjoyed this tour so much that I'll probably do it again next time I visit Japan!
Today I just did the Hakone ultimate tour, and I’m speechless! Everything was OUTSTANDING!!!! I do not now even where to start, cars are beautiful, the team take care really good over them, consider that are 20+ years old cars and runs smooooothly and are fast!!!!! I’m in love of the RX-7!Reservation process super easy! No hidden fees or anything weird, thank you Clement for the amazing service and support!The tour guide Josh is also a super nice guy! It makes you feel confident and helps you with anything over the driving time; if you love cars, and more if you love JDM this tour is for you!Keep in mind that this tour is in the public roads of Japan, if you want to race a car, contact Clement for that experience, but I totally certified this tour is fun, amazing, exciting, beautiful and was a very enjoyable time today! I did it by my self, next time I would like to come withy friends!!Thank you Drivers lounge team for this life changer!++the food for the lunch is super local and delicious!!!!
One of the best tours you can do travelling. Forget all the others ...if you are looking for a legitimate and honest business, this is the place to book, great cars with great services. Easy pick up from the station to the lounge to see the cars and make way. The tour is fully guided with radio walkie talkie so always feel safe and have fun at the same time. Did the Hakone-Daikoku Weekend driving tour on Nov 2nd and it was a blast. Our tour guide was amazing and safely guided us in navigating the narrow touge's. We chopped up great conversations about our passion for cars. Super fun experience driving 4 cars that were not available in the states; each of them having its own personality in how the car wants to be driven. Would not hesitate to book a future tour. My gosh, this is the best run car tour you can get in Japan. 10+ hours of driving, straight into the Fuji area to drive thoroughly fun cars through mountain roads. This is the kind of tour haven’t seen in Japan years ago, and I am so grateful it’s now here!These guys have been running for a few months now but they are my most recommended bucket item now for any car people to do in Japan. HUGE thank you to Justin, our super friendly and super informative tour guide who kept us engaged the entire day (a LOT of work!). Also a huge thank you to Clement for organizing the tours, and thank you to Josh for maintaining the cars! Josh was there late at night working on their new S15, so you can see the immense dedication put into the company.The cars are VERY well maintained and have been thoroughly reliable, especially given they go on tours being driven pretty hard every single day. Furthermore, their insurance is a straight 300k Yen excess, no hidden charges or anything.If you want to have a great time with peace of mind, these guys are the team to pick. Thank you guys for making my dream come true!!
Had an Absolutely brilliant day, our tour guides were gentleman and knew how to get the group talking and laughing (Not a surprise as Josh is a fellow Aussie).We did the Hakone to Daikoku Weekend Tour and the line up of cars that we were given to drive was exceptional all 4 were so different but gave you a driving experience like no other. The boys also show you a side of JDM car culture like no other.Highly recommend anything these guys have to offer. The day out we had was one of the biggest highlights of a 3 week long Japan trip.Definitely will be back 🤙🏻
If you have to book one driving experience with JDM cars while in Japan book this one.We had an amazing time with Josh our tour guide. He makes sure you safely enjoy your experience to the max.We loved hearing stories and sharing car facts and we also thoroughly enjoyed hearing local interesting facts, Josh is so easygoing, knowledgeable and just a pleasure to be around!We drove the GTR, Supra and the RX-7 ♥️The RX-7 although an older car was was in great shape and we had lots of fun driving it.We appreciated the safety briefing at the beginning of the tour, overview of Japanese road rules, wireless walkie talkies, you have a phone with navigation in each car so that you know where you’re going at all times, the instructions on the way from our guide Josh were clear and you just really feel like he enjoys what he’s doing while also doing a great job at being professional, making sure everyone is safe while having a great time.We took the tour to Honda Collection hall, our guide chatted with us the whole time while also sharing interesting facts about the models!All in all we are definitely coming back next time booking a different tour route to experience a new adventure 🫶

I highly recommend going on a tour with these guys, easily my favorite day of driving ive ever had. Super easy to get to by train in Tokyo, they meet you at noborito station then once everyone is there drive you to their shop for a quick briefing before heading out for the day. On the day I went we took out the r32, r35, and rx7. Was an absolute blast cruising the roads of hakone. Im sure ill be back on my next trip through Japan.
