Recently used Tosshin to order some car parts/accesories for myself.The website's car parts diagram/catalog is really good. Clear and concise.Once you have selected your items for purchase, Tosshin will check and send you a quote for the parts WITHOUT shipping.This gets interesting as there will be TWO payments required for the purchase of car parts.Request for the FIRST payment is done when Tosshin has the stock available. Once you have made your first payment, the car part you have order will then be shipped to Tosshin's warehouse.Once your item has arrived in Tosshin''s warehouse, they will send you another quote for shipping the item out to you. This is where you are required to make your SECOND payment.I paid both using paypal, which means I had to pay twice and as a result of this twice commission fees to paypal.Basically you wont know your shipping fees until your item has arrived at their warehouse. This part seriously needs to improve as it lacks cost transparency.Very unlike other car parts platform which consolidates shipping and item pricing all at once.
I made a purchase with Tosshin. It was incredibly easy, the company is responsive, the item shipped was packaged extremely well. I will be purchasing again from Tosshin.
I have used Tosshin a couple of times now, and can confirm the experience is excellent. The prices are extremely competitive (in fact the cheapest I have found for the majority of items I've ordered), the processing time is extremely quick (Latest order was placed on 3rd of March and contained 28 items, they got stock of everything and had it shipped out on the 9th) and the packaging is both very protective without being overdone causing higher shipping costs.I have used Amayama, Carmarka, Partsouq and Megazip in the past, and Tosshin seems to be cheaper, faster and with cheaper shipping. If you're looking for cheap GENUINE toyota parts, I highly recommending using Tosshin.
