Halal Namba Ramen
This was the best ramen I had In Japan, the portion size , the flavor and the service . I ate here three times , each time bringing someone new with me and they all agreed. It’s small but I find it intimate and the service was amazing.
Osaka Halal Namba Ramen offers a unique and personal dining experience. The owner and staff are very cooperative, friendly, and helpful, which is especially reassuring for Muslim travelers looking for clearly halal food. The place is small and intimate—entering it feels like walking into a studio apartment. There are about three tables with four chairs each, plus bar-style seating where you can enjoy your ramen directly at the counter. The atmosphere is simple and cozy, with the main focus clearly on the food.I tried the Spicy Wagyu Ramen and karaage. Both were delicious and well-seasoned, but the ramen is genuinely spicy. If you are not used to spicy food, it is better to choose the regular (non-spicy) option. The karaage was juicy and flavorful, a great complement to the ramen. They also serve curry rice, which in my opinion is not inferior to Coco Curry. It is rich, comforting, and very satisfying—definitely a pleasant surprise from a small ramen shop. One important note: the restaurant is located on the 4th floor, so it can be a bit easy to miss. As a reference point, there is a Vietnamese restaurant on the lower floor, which helps as a landmark when you are looking for the place.Overall:Clearly halal and trustworthyVery friendly and cooperative staffSmall but comfortable spaceStrong flavors in both ramen and curryA must try. My wife absolutely loved it, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good halal ramen in the Namba area.
A cozy eating place. There is a elevator to reach this dining. We brought our luggage with us, and there is enough room to store it. The price is so so reasonable compared to other halal diners. The broth is a bit on the salty side for me, but we still enjoyed it. My son could finish a whole bowl of wagyu ramen all by himself. Linited seats though, could be full on high season, but we just walked in the other day.
We came here on our second last day before leaving Japan. The place was quite hidden, I think one of the worker noticed us looking for the place and guided us to the 4th floor. The eating area was a bit cramped but the food was really good. I wanted to order wagyu ramen but it was out of stock hence I ordered chicken ramen instead. My parents ordered their curry and chicken rice (if I got the dish name right). It was good and near to our accommodation. Service was friendly but the eating space was a bit cramped so heads up for that.Overall 5/5 for the food and service.
Try out this Halal Namba Ramen the first night in Osaka. Located floor and only 500meters walking distance from our hotel in Chisun Standard Hotel, the place offer a homey cozy atmosphere. The owner is Indonesian and very helpful and friendly. We orderered Wagyu Yakiniku Rice Bowl, Spicy Ramen Chicken and Spicy Wagyu Ramen. All taste just great. The ramen broth is light but tasty. Even better if it's hotter though as the weather during autum season is quite chill. The beef wagyu is well season, tender and juicy. Very recommended. We came for dinner around 6.30pm and no need to wait to get seat. There are only three dinner table for 4 people each and 6 table bar seat. Quite packed after 15 minutes we aarrived.
Spicy chicken ramen is 10/10 broth is perfect with chicken flavor and not too spicy, just right level spiciness, i finished the whole bowl of broth.Fried chicken wings (karaage style fried wings) 10/10 are very crispy and tasty and juicy on the inside. The restaurant is quite far from main city and crowd but easy to reach, walkable from two train stations. Very recommended for halal ramen spot in Osaka.
The place was quite tiny, and the kitchen was very close to the seating area. It mainly serves non-vegetarian food, so if you’re a vegetarian or Hindu, the environment can feel quite suffocating. The steam and aroma from the kitchen made the air heavy with the smell of beef and chicken, which was uncomfortable for me.The food itself was decent — not bad, but not something I’d come back for. The ambience, however, was too congested for me to enjoy the meal properly. I actually felt I couldn’t breathe comfortably. On the positive side, the owner and staff were very kind and polite. Just note that it’s cash only, which can be a bit inconvenient.Overall, maybe non-vegetarians might enjoy it since it has good reviews, but I wouldn’t recommend it for vegetarians.
