This is a bar for the people! I recently stayed in Osaka’s Fukushima ward when I came across this place just looking for a quick drink as I got to know the neighborhood; I think the memories and human connection I made that evening will forever be associated with Japan in my mind.I walked up the nondescript staircase and upon entering I was immediately greeted by 山本 英和. I sat in what was initially a quiet bar, we just chatted over beers for a bit, and took turns choosing some music for the TV. I asked about the vinyl setup and some fun beats got to spinning. To my surprise 山本 英和 had some rap music from 20+ years ago on vinyl from my little region of the world 7,000 miles away. After an hour or so some people from the neighborhood stopped in and we all just chatted, had some beers, and listened to some music together.Anytime I travel I like to choose quiet, slightly sleepy neighborhoods so I can get a sense of everyday life without the hustle and bustle a lot of the tourist heavy areas present. This place delivered and I will be returning anytime I’m in Osaka! Cheers!
