Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Tage im Usuki Art House verbracht und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.Der mit Liebe zum Detail ausgestattete, Schlafraum mit Tatamimatten, war ein Erlebnis und sehr bezaubernd. Die schöne Gestaltung hat sich im gesamten Haus gezeigt und man hat sich wie Zuhause gefühlt oder zu Besuchbei guten Freunden. Die Gastgeber, haben unseren Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet.Es gab viele Tips für uns was wir in Usuki erleben können und auch viele Infos zum Leben in Japan. Es war eine warme gastliche Erfahrung. 突然連絡したにも関わらずとても丁寧に対応してくださりました。オーナー様は明るく優しい太陽のような方でした。夫婦で海外旅行をよくしていたようで、海外のお話を聞くのがとても楽しかったです、ずっと話を聞いていたかったです😊お子様も可愛らしくてまるで天使のようでした。
Absolutely amazing with the best hosts I've ever had. Will definitely stay there again the next time I am back. They made the whole Usuki experience that much better.

La Usuki Art House est tenue par François et Rié ( couple Franco-Japonais) qui sont littéralement aux petits soins!Une guesthouse pleine de charme entièrement rénovée, avec goût , par leurs soins.Évidement ils connaissent Usuki et ses environs comme leurs poches , les meilleurs conseils et adresses nous ont été dispensés sans modérations !François a traduit énormément de choses ici a Usuki , et si vous ne parlez pas Japonais , c’est un luxe et un confort formidable !La ville est superbe , même si elle peut paraître humble à côté des mégalopoles japonaises, elle est riches de multiples temples, sanctuaires ,restaurants et boutiques tous plus beaux les uns que les autres ,à visiter dans des conditions idéales de calmes et de tranquillité.Les transports sont très faciles à prendre , depuis Fukuoka il y a même un direct .Ici vous serez à une heure en train environ de Beppu et ses 7 enfers , une visite à ne pas louper , et tout proche d’Oita, si vous avez un JR pass c’est tout confort !Merci pour votre formidable accueil , notre voyage n’aurait pas été le même sans vous et vos précieux conseils , c’était un bonheur de séjourner chez vous ♥️
こちらの宿からすぐ近くの場所で釣りを楽しんだあと、夜は臼杵の町で飲み歩きました。オーナーご夫妻と楽しい時間を過ごせてリフレッシュできました。次はがっつり釣り宿泊もいいなと思いました。
普段から臼杵には行っていましたが、改めて臼杵の町の魅力を感じました。アットホームで素敵な宿でした。和室の部屋に泊まりましたが、雰囲気も居心地もとてもよかったです！他のお部屋も素敵だったのでまた遊びにいきたいです。
This was a fantastic place to stay in the beautiful town of Usuki. Located right under the castle walls in a traditional house in the old streets, not far from the station, the guesthouse is run by a Japanese-French couple including an artist, and so there is art decorating the walls.There are western and Japanese style rooms; I opted for the latter, as it was simply so beautiful. Very comfortable.Hosts Rie and François provided welcome and goodbye tea, coffee and snacks and were very helpful with places to eat and sightseeing. It felt more like being in a home than a paying guesthouse.Both of them speak English fluently and François (at least) French.I’ll be back for sure, both for the guesthouse and its latest art and for the lovely town. Highly recommended.

Usuki Art House offers the rare opportunity to share the home of a young and vibrant Japanese family. Tucked down a narrow lanes and squeezed up by the ramparts of the old ruined fort, the Art House is within a few minutes walk of most of what Usuki has to offer. And believe me, Usuki offers a lot.Facilities are shared, but there is plenty of them. The Japanese style rooms are particularly tasteful. While the western style rooms with a bed is pleasant enough.Between them, your charming hosts Rie and Francois have enough language skills to cover most bases. Take their recommendations on where to eat.A word of warning though. The Usuki Art House is a conversion of an older Japanese style house. The stairs to the rooms are steep and not suitable for anyone with serious mobility issues.
