On the day we were leaving to fly back to the States, we still needed to find sake glasses for our son-in-law. After checking out numerous pottery shops, we strolled to the Japanese Pottery Shop from the Westin Tokyo.Contrary to the innocuous name, the Japanese Pottery Shop offers a wonderful variety of beautiful ceramics, filling the small space. The proprietor, a kind man who spoke English fluently, was very helpful. We don't speak Japanese, unfortunately. We picked out a sake set our son-in-law would like, and he wrapped and boxed it with great care. The Japanese Pottery Shop in Tokyo is a great find.
It was a very nice and comfortable environment to buy some pottery here. The owner was really friendly and answered all my questions about the manufacturing processes of the different cups, teapots, etc. Prices are really fair and depend on the different qualities of the potteries of course.
Perfect for tourists to buy things to bring home. A small but well stocked shop. This is a family enterprise, stocking mostly pottery from the family pottery out of town. It's beautiful work! And the prices are very reasonable. It's a very good place to purchase authentic Japanese pottery made by artisans before you leave for home.
Great little family owned pottery shop. High quality, not cheap but still has some good quality and good value items. Some high end items as well if you’re interested. Very friendly staff and bring your passport for tax free purchase. Highly recommended if you’re after a teapot or a tea set.

Intimate pottery shop that still has a large selection of unique cups and saucers. We bought two one of a kind sake cups.
Incredible store, fantastic selection of Arita ceramics and Kintsugi for sale. The gentleman who served me was incredible he took fantastic care packaging my purchases for safe travel and even have me a beautiful stand for my Kintsugi plate. I loved the entire shop and all of their wares.
