We have been very grateful for this summer camp every year. This is our third year, and since our son had a great time last year, we extended his stay to two weeks from last year.Our son has food allergies, so we were worried during his first year participating, but the option to provide detailed information during registration gave us peace of mind.During his first two nights away from home, with no friends around, the teachers warmly welcomed him from the moment we dropped him off at the gate. Although he initially looked anxious, he settled in smoothly.Our son loves nature, especially the ocean, so it seems he thoroughly enjoyed activities like catching crabs and paddleboarding. I was a bit surprised by some of the harsh reviews, but our son seemed to have a great time with the male staff mentioned in the reviews, enjoying activities that were quite different from what I would do. He eagerly looked forward to playing with him each year. Perhaps the staff may be a bit energetic, but our son willingly joined in the activities.Until last year, his older sister (who is shy and reserved) also attended and seemed to have a fulfilling time in her own way, saying “It was fun! The food was delicious!”Being away from parents isn't always smooth and may not always be fun, but each time our children come back having grown a lot. I believe it’s an excellent camp for them to teach the importance of personal responsibility and problem-solving skills.However, everyone has different points of view and expectations, so impressions can vary. For us, it was a fantastic summer experience. (And it's also nice that he continues to speak English for a while after returning home.)こちらのサマーキャンプには毎年お世話になっています。今年で3回目ですが、息子が大変楽しかったと言っていたので、昨年から2週間に増やしました。息子は食物アレルギーがあるので初参加の年は心配でしたが、申し込みの際に詳しくお伝えできる項目もあり安心できました。初めて親と離れて過ごす2泊、お友達もいませんでしたが、ゲートで引き渡しの時から先生方が暖かく迎えて下さり、本人は不安でいっぱいの表情でしたがすんなり入って行きました。息子はもともと自然遊び、とりわけ海が大好きなので、磯遊びでカニを捕まえたり、SUPに乗ったり思う存分遊び尽くした様です。他の方の辛辣なレビューに少し驚きましたが、息子はそのレビューにあった男性スタッフには海などで散々遊んでもらった様で、母親とは全く違う遊び方を大変喜んでおり、毎年彼と遊ぶのをとても楽しみにしています。もしかしたら少し勢いがあるのかもしれませんが、息子は好んで自ら参加していた様です。昨年まで姉(シャイでおとなしめ)も参加していましたが、息子とまた違った形で充実した時間を過ごした様で、”楽しかった！ご飯が美味しかった！”と言っていました。親と離れての生活は思い通りにも行きませんし、楽しいことばかりではなかったかもしれませんが、毎回子どもが大きく成長して帰ってくるので、自己責任の大切さ、自分で問題を解決する力を養うには最高のキャンプだと思います。でもまあ、どんなことにも相性がありますので、感想は人それぞれかもしれませんね。うちにとっては最高の夏を過ごさせていただきました。(更に帰宅後暫く英語を話すのも有り難いです^_^)
