Wonderful preschool! We feel so lucky to have found this place in Tokyo. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our daughter has had a wonderful experience here. The teachers are all so kind, caring, and amazing (special thanks to Mariko, Maki, Gaeid and Chisa). We are truly grateful for their support and dedication. We highly recommend this preschool to any family looking for a warm and nurturing environment for their child.
We couldn’t be happier with Dandelion Montessori. It’s an excellent school with a truly lovely facility, by far the nicest nursery environment we’ve seen. The space itself is beautifully designed and incredibly calming, creating the perfect atmosphere for young children to feel safe and at ease.Mariko, the headmaster, along with the rest of the staff, are exceptionally caring and calm. It’s clear how much they genuinely care about both the children and their families. Their warmth and dedication shine through in everything they do.We registered our son after moving from London, and to our amazement, he settled in within just two days, a testament to the nurturing environment and thoughtful approach of the staff. The after-school care program has also been an absolute blessing for our family, especially with the recent arrival of a newborn.Overall, Dandelion Montessori has exceeded our expectations in every way. We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful school in Tokyo.
The teachers are so nice to my sister and take really good care of her when she is at school. My sister also says she has a lot of friends there that go to school with her everyday. The teachers are really awesome because they always give you a warm smile and support all the young children that go to that school too. I want to give a huge thank you to a teacher named Mariko (I think I spelled that right) and her husband (another teacher) named Pete because at TAC, when we see them, they wave at us and have smiles on their face to let my sister feel a good and once, we saw Mariko on her car and she lowered the window and said hi to us so I feel really lucky that my sister can go there and have a good education.
Dandelion is a beautiful, tranquil haven for children in Tokyo 💫It has been the highlight of our recent move from the UK.We have been absolutely blown away by the wonderful team and community spirit that surrounds the school, and our daughter is so happy in this charming setting 🌈. She has been learning so many life skills, creating beautiful art and LOVES exploring the nature in the park everyday 🌿.If you are considering Dandelion for your child, do not hesitate, we cannot recommend it more highly.You just have to visit it for yourself to understand what an amazing place this is!Flora & Ed 🇬🇧
Dandelion is by far the most wonderful school I know. Our kids are very happy there, they have fun, learn, and acquire so many skills. They simply like going there every day. We are impressed by the teachers - their kindness, calmness, knowledge, and a clear dedication and interest in teaching and helping kids grow. The school interior is very clean, bright, spacious, and just beautiful. Sending our kids there is one of the best decisions we’re made.

Such a wonderful and authentic Montessori environment to spend one’s early years in!Our family loves Dandelion. My children are excited to come to school every day and come home with fond stories about what they did during the day. The founders, Mariko and Pete, have a long and successful history of building amazing Montessori schools in Tokyo and are two of the kindest Montessorians I have ever met. All the guides are AMI-trained, empathetic, and truly knowledgeable about early childhood development. They create such an open and warm atmosphere that naturally fosters curiosity and learning. Needless to say, my children love it here.Highly recommend Dandelion to anyone seeking an authentic Montessori experience for their children!

Dandelion is a truly special and irreplaceable place for my daughter.Because she had attended a Montessori school in the UK from the age of one, we were looking for a school in Tokyo that would offer a genuine Montessori education. That’s how we found Dandelion. There are many schools in Tokyo that call themselves Montessori, but I believe Dandelion is one of the very few that truly honors Maria Montessori’s philosophy and provides such a thoughtfully prepared environment.The teachers are exceptional. They gently guide the children while giving them the freedom and space to think, explore, and act for themselves. My daughter is now four years old, and I’ve seen her grow into someone who takes initiative, works independently, and expresses her thoughts with confidence.When we first returned to Japan, she could only speak English and felt very anxious about life here. After joining Dandelion, she became much more emotionally settled and, on her own, started challenging herself to learn Japanese outside of school as well. She can now handle most everyday tasks independently. Lately, she has been especially interested in simple sewing, practicing the alphabet so she can write letters, and even making pancakes by cracking eggs and mixing the batter herself.I am truly grateful that we found this school. It has been such a meaningful place in my daughter’s life, and I cannot thank the wonderful teachers enough for all they have done for her.
