A very interesting 86 yr old bar owner who has loads of joke to share! Even as a Singaporean who doesnt know Japanese, I am very much entertained!
The bartender has A LOT of character. Very interesting vibe in here. I would suggest getting a few drinks in you before visiting. It's a visit you will never forget. Highly recommend.

Contrary to the most recent review, I have spent the last 3 nights of my trip with Master and his regulars - the best nights of my trip so far. Master’s bar is vintage; being his means of working and living. You can see the age of this bar based on the vinyls he plays and the random knick knacks he may show you (or gift!) He is called Master by locals and regulars alike since he knows Asakusa the best like the back of his hand.He doesn’t speak much English but Google Translate and expressive reactions was easy for us to keep laughter filling the air. His drinks have a classic touch that most bars lack nowadays. Furthermore, this bar is a hidden gem and is treasured by so many locals but also wanting to invite more foreigners. You won’t get this much hospitality from anywhere else, i can guarantee that. He has stories for days and you can see the locals really value him. He had expressed so much excitement and gratitude for the potential foreigners that’ll visit his bar.If you have a sense of humor and are looking for genuine hole in the walls, this place is for you in Asakusa! We’re returning home with so many gifts with some being valuable/rare and others being from his own personal collection. Very cherishing moments that we won’t forget.Master-san, Midori-san, and Yohei-san, we will miss you! See you guys again soon <3
