よみうりランド冬季恒例の日本屈指の最大級イルミネーションです。京王線よみうりランド駅の改札を出て徒歩1分。階段を上るとゴンドラの券売機があるので、そこで往復チケットを購入し、ゴンドラで丘を登ればすぐによみうりランドの入場ゲートへ到着します。(ゴンドラではなく徒歩や小田急線よみうりランド前駅からバスでも入場ゲートへ行くことが出来ますが、せっかく行くならゴンドラに乗るのをおすすめします)毎年イルミネーションの時期は混むのですが、よみうりランドの公式サイトで事前にチケットを購入していたのですんなり入ることができました。都内有数のLED数を誇るイルミネーションは、有料なだけあって他では味わえないほど煌びやかで、遊園地のライトアップや雰囲気も相まってとても幻想的でした。敷地が広いのと、ご飯や子供の体験施設も多く、一周するだけでも恋人同士なら2時間、子供連れなら4時間はかかると思います。子供と一緒に遊ぶのなら、朝から各施設に遊びに行って、夜にイルミネーションの中で遊ぶ方が時間を有効に使えて良いかもしれません。ぜひ宝石のようなイルミネーション(ジュエルミネーション)を楽しんでください。This is one of Japan’s largest and most impressive winter illumination events, a seasonal tradition at Yomiuriland.It’s just a one-minute walk from the ticket gates of Keio Line’s Yomiuriland Station. After climbing the stairs, you’ll find the gondola ticket machines—purchase a round-trip ticket there, and the gondola ride up the hill will take you straight to the entrance gate of Yomiuriland.(You can also reach the entrance on foot or by bus from Odakyu Line’s Yomiuriland-mae Station, but if you’re making the trip, I highly recommend taking the gondola.)The illumination season gets crowded every year, but since I bought my ticket in advance through the official Yomiuriland website, I was able to enter smoothly without much hassle.Featuring one of the largest numbers of LED lights in Tokyo, this paid illumination event is dazzling beyond anything you’ll experience elsewhere. Combined with the beautifully lit amusement park and its atmosphere, it feels truly magical.The grounds are quite spacious, and there are plenty of dining options and activities for children. Just walking around once can take about two hours for couples, or around four hours if you’re visiting with kids. If you’re going with children, it might be best to spend the day enjoying the various attractions and facilities, then stay into the evening to experience the illuminations—it’s a great way to make the most of your time.Be sure to enjoy the jewel-like illumination, known as “Jewellumination.” ✨
