We went as a family of 4 and had a great time. The event is well run and provided an entertaining informative introduction to sumo. We got to see two ex sumo wrestlers showcase the different elements of sumo as well as see them have a 1 round competitive wrestling match. There was also the opportunity to join in and practice sumo and wrestle one of the sumo which was an amazing experience (limited space). All in all this I would highly recommend this companies experience. Compared to similar events in Tokyo this was great value. Especially as it did not include food or drink which we did not want You can however buy drink there and popcorn if you wish. We also managed to book via trip.com which gave us an additional discount code so even better. Overall I'm really pleased we looked into doing this in Osaka over Tokyo and would recommend to others. Oh also turn up earlier if you can as they will start the event on time but will also show clips and provide information on sumo to those who arrive earlier.
Fantastic experience! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the activity was both fun and interesting. We even got the chance to participate in a sumo match ourselves! A unique and memorable experience that we highly recommend. Thank you to the whole team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Even if the location is kinda tiny and modest, the personnel was kind and genuine, the presenter was quite entertaining and so were the sumo. Great quick experience to get to know the sport and have a fun chance at fighting.I payed 66€ with booking, maybe it’s a little high but it is a thorough experience
What an awesome experience! First, we learned about sumo and its history. Then we met the two sumo wrestlers, Kai and Ryuu, who would be performing today. They demonstrated legal and illegal moves. They threw in a little comedy, which was so fun. Next, they invited the audience to participate. How funny was that! Last, everyone had an opportunity to have their picture taken with Kai and Ryuu. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to have fun while learning about sumo wrestling. It’s totally worth the money.
An experience of a lifetime. I am so thrilled to have experienced an actual sumo bout and be a part of it by challenging a real sumo wrestler. For a little money that I paid (less than USD100), it was an honour for me. Any amount of thanx/appreciation is not enough towards the sumo wrestlers. My body is still sore after 2 days but I have earned that soreness and so bloody proud of myself.The only thing that I kind of din like was that everyone including Japanese people there, talks in the American accent and that kind of ruins the experience a little. Would have loved it more, had the people talk in Japanese English, making it more authentic. But I do understand, they don’t want to have the communication gap and provide a better experience for the ones who paid. All in all, this was an icing on the cake for me as I ended my Japan trip with the bout. Arigatou gozaimasu 🙏🏻
Absolutely amazing experience. Family loved it and my nephews (10 and 14) joined in and wrestled the sumo’s. Def recommended to visit!
FamilyMartの横に2025年オープンした。日本人が利用することはないが、外国人観光客にとってはカルチャー体験ができて良いだろう。 CORONAみたいなパンデミックで観光客がいなくなると倒産するので今のうちに行っとくべき。
