Attended a calligraphy class and it was my highlight of my stay in Tokyo. The atmosphere was so welcoming and cozy, the studio is just so beautiful, peaceful and a perfect space for japanese vibes. All our needs were carefully taken care of, from keeping us hydrated with tea, to snacks, to gloves, wipes, slippers, etc… The class was so detailed and we were taught exactly how to do everything step by step. They were so attentive and helpful. We left with the best souvenirs you can ever receive! Your name beautifully written in Kanji and your own art work of the character you choose to write. So many material were provided, a ton of practice paper, tracing sheets, unlimited ink, brushes, etc… and everything was well organised at arrival. YOU SHOULD NOT MISS THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IN TOKYO!
Emi and her team organised a wonderful private Shodo calligraphy class for a group of foreign women in Setagaya. We had the most enjoyable time! It was insightful, fun and Emi’s communication, support and promptness during arranging things was perfect. The studio was lovely and she worked with me to find an appropriate budget.I highly recommend Emi and the Link and Learn Team for anyone looking to experience a custom class in the Japanese arts and hope to organise more with her in the future!
バイリンガルのクラスを探していたところインスタで見つけてProgressYOGA&英会話のクラスに参加しました。明るくきれいなスタジオで、先生のインストラクションも分かりやすくて良かったです。英会話クラスもかしこまった感じではなく雑談といった感じの和やかな雰囲気で、さりげなく訳してくださったり話を振って下さったりするので英語に自信がなくても楽しめると思います。気持ちよく動いて良い休日になりました！
1時間と長すぎず短すぎず適度な時間でヨガができて良かったです。講師の方も英語と日本語で丁寧にガイドしてくれたので、スムーズにヨガができました。
I've been here for a Meditative Yoga session and it was great. The teacher was very clear I've had one of the most relaxing hours in a long time.I also enjoyed talking to the other participants over a smoothie and cold tea.I strongly recommend dropping by for a session if you have time.
I attended a Japanese calligraphy class here. Upon arrival I was greeted by Emi-san, who was dressed in Kimono and that made me excited to what’s coming next as I love traditional events. The studio had been decorated beautifully with artworks and Kimono pieces .We took our places and I noticed that the table had already been prepared beautifully.We started the session with some history about Japanese calligraphy and the various strokes.When we started practicing the strokes, I felt it would be better if the Sensei can just advise how much time we should spend on it. For example maybe 15 minutes before moving to the next activity of choosing what our final kanji we were going to write .There was many Kanji to choose from and I think I spent too much time choosing so it would be great if Sensei could just prompt us to spend 5-10mins choosing one as more time should be used on practicing the writing.It takes a while to practice and get the strokes right and I really appreciate it when Sensei guided my hand movement.I really enjoyed the 2 hours there and I’m glad I tried something new. Thank you Emi-san for organising it !
ヨガに参加しました。インストラクターのミラ先生が英語と日本語をしっかり使い分けて進めてくださるので、日本語話者の参加者にも、英語話者の参加者にとっても分かりやすいですし、問題なくヨガのポーズや自分の呼吸や体に目を向けることができます。とてもいい環境でリラックスとリフレッシュができ、その上、朝のレッスンだったのでその後の一日を素敵に過ごせそうな前向きな気持ちになりました！
