As part of the "Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa" festival, we had the rare opportunity to step onto the usually closed rooftop of Higashi-Kitazawa Station. It felt special right from the start, since this isn’t a space that’s open to the public on an everyday basis.The highlight was Takayuki Mori’s “Uranometria” installation, where glowing constellations came to life under black light. Arriving just at dusk, we enjoyed a beautiful mix of fading daylight and the crisp autumn air.While the experience itself was short and simple, it offered a unique perspective on the surrounding neighborhood. It was one of those small, memorable moments that made the festival feel truly special—something you wouldn’t encounter on an ordinary day in Tokyo.
