Had a great time in Tsukiji today! The highlight for me was Oideya. Legit Wagyu melts in you mouth.
Oideya was a nice change of pace amidst all the craziness. It’s a bit pricy but the eel was fantastic and the octopus was quality, so the price is justified.And Shohei-San was especially kind and was well spoken in English.落ち着いた雰囲気の中で、ちょっとした気分転換になって良かったです。少し値段は高めですが、うなぎはとても美味しく、タコも質が良くて、その価格にも納得できます。そして、翔平さんはとても親切で、英語もとても上手でした。

Best octopus and wagyu in tsukiji
First time I tried wagyu skewers. It is a must-do at least once in a lifetime. Quite expensive but worth it. Shop in a corner, no queue and fast service
Die Spieße sind teuer (ob der Preis angemessen ist, weiß ich nicht, da ich mich mit den Preisen nicht auskenne) jedoch einmalig lecker und zart.Ich bereue immer noch, dass ich nur einen Spieß und nicht einen zweiten hatte.Wer am Fischmarkt zu Besuch ist sollte meiner Meinung nach unbedingt mal hier vorbeischauen und etwas probieren!

But **OIDEYA**? Absolutely NOT overhyped. In fact, it was somehow even better than expected!The wagyu here is an absolute religious experience. It is so impossibly soft and tender that it basically melts on your tongue like beef-flavored butter. It is so GOooooood that I’m pretty sure I saw stars with every single bite. If you love incredible food, your tastebuds deserve this.But the incredible steak wasn’t the only highlight of our visit. If you’re lucky, you might just get a chance to meet the local VIPs: two neighborhood pigeons we affectionately named **Gary and Brian**. Honestly, they were the perfect, hilarious lunch dates. 🐦🐦Go for the mind-blowing wagyu, stay for the potential Gary and Brian sightings. 10/10, no notes, will absolutely be back!
