Booked a double room here through the owner’s listing on Airbnb.Check-in is only permitted from 4-8pm but I got lost and the owner, Makoto-san, was extremely kind to wait around for me until I arrived at about 8.30pm and was still very friendly and warm when he welcomed us.Take note that the entrance to the lodge is demarcated by a sign that says やど (yado) and it is a slightly steep kind of slope that you have to drive/walk up to get there.Inside the lodge, all rooms share one shower room and one toilet but I did not have any issues with having to queue despite there being two other groups of guests staying at the same time.There was a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge for guest use but we did not use it.The entire premises were very clean and homely, the shower was great, the room was warm and toasty and there were integrated sockets on the bed frame for convenient bedside charging access.Would absolutely recommend Lake & Mountain Hamamatsu inn to anyone who is okay with a sharehouse type of accomodation 🏨
