宝物殿（武蔵御嶽神社）の特徴
武蔵御嶽神社の敷地内に位置する歴史的な博物館です。
徳川将軍から提供された貴重な歴史的資産が展示されています。
国宝の大鎧を間近で見ることができるスポットです。
凄く良い場所に立ってる神社。青梅市喫煙所があります。

武蔵御嶽神社の境内にある宝物殿。平安時代末期から江戸時代中期にかけての、甲冑や刀剣が展示されており、それらは国宝や重要文化財に指定されている程の極めて貴重な品々である。特に畠山重忠が奉納したと伝わる『赤糸威鎧兜・大袖付』は、多くの箇所で明治期の補修されているものの、約900年の時を経てもなお現存しているのは、非常に目を見張ることだろう。宝物殿は2階建て構造で、入口には段差、2階との昇降は階段であり、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方の利用は不向きである。また建物自体が狭く、周遊するだけであれば30分程度で済む。展示物保護のためか、一部の展示箇所の照明は暗めに設定されており、展示の説明文が読みづらいと感じるだろう。加えて説明文はほぼ全て日本語のみで、入場の際、スタッフから展示物説明補助のためのタブレット端末が手渡されるが、それも日本語のみであるため、外国人観光客にとってはとっつきにくい場所と感じるかもしれない。館内は全て撮影禁止となっている。いくつかの要素から、入場料500円ではやや割高と感じるかもしれない。The Treasure Hall is located within the grounds of Musashi Ontake Shrine. Armor and swords from the late Heian period to the mid-Edo period are on display, and are so valuable that they have been designated as national treasures or important cultural properties. The “Akaito-odoshi no Yoroi (Armor with red-thread)” dedicated by Shigetada Hatakeyama is particularly remarkable, as it has survived for almost 900 years, although many parts have been repaired during the Meiji period.The Treasure Hall is a two-floor structure with steps at the entrance and stairs to the second floor, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users and other visitors with disabilities. The building itself is small, and it takes only about 30 minutes to walk around. Perhaps to protect the exhibits, the lighting in some areas is dimmed, making it difficult to read the explanations of the exhibits. In addition, most of the explanations are in Japanese only, and the staff will give you a tablet terminal to assist in explaining the exhibits when you enter the museum, but it is also in Japanese only, so foreign visitors may find it difficult to understand the exhibits.Photography is prohibited inside the museum. Several factors may make the admission fee of 500yen seem somewhat excessive.
ここまで来れば、あと少しで本殿。
ここに来るまでには結構な体力を使いますので、お参りをすると効果がありそうな気がしました。(笑)
ケーブルカーの御岳山駅から25分ほど歩いて到着する御嶽神社の入り口にある建物。催し物なども開催されるようです。
国宝が2つある(撮影禁止)。¥500の見学料。2023/7/8
