初めての包丁作りが体験できるアートスタジオです。
教えてくれるSawanさんが素晴らしいと評判の場所です。
忘れられない思い出を作れる特別な体験が楽しめます。
The experience that we did at studio NIN is the knife making experience with upgraded wood handle, though they do have other experiences that look incredible! The workers here are absolutely amazing, our teacher Sawan was incredible, professional, and a ton of fun. The staff in general are all very engaging, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. The experience is a full 3 hours and you will hammer the metal ingot into a knife, quench and sharpen it. The workers here speak english well and instructions were easy and clear and they help and guide you at every turn! There are quite a few choices of knife styles to choose from. Things of note: 1) Bring hydration as it gets hot in the forge area. 2) They have clothes for you to wear either over or completely change into so you don’t ruin any of your clothes. 3) If you get the wooden handle it will not be put on there but they give you instructions to do it at home. Very very highly recommended, this is a unique must do experience and I will absolutely be going back!
Very fun experience! You start with a piece of metal, heat it and beat it into shape. Afterwards you grind and polish it into a real knife. The tutors are very friendly and help you if you struggle with a part. The knife is quitte skinny but a good size and you van choose the shape you want. 10/10 would recommend tot try some blacksmithing!

Ich habe das Messerschmieden zum 50. Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen und wir haben es dann zum Familien-Event gemacht. War ein tolles Erlebnis, die Anleitung durch Taka, Yael und Dan gut verständlich. Alle waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unbedingt zu empfehlen.

楽しかった。Really fun but also really exhausting. Worth the travel when visiting Kyoto.
The worship is an absolute blast! You make your own Japanese knife in a traditional way of forging. It is a lot of work but worth every second of it. The team has been super helpful and guided you through every step. If you are in Kyoto, I truly recommend taking this workshop!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5+The Knife Making Experience was absolutely amazing! It was hands-on, fun, and such a unique experience from start to finish. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable while walking us through each step of the process. I loved learning how to use the tools and walking away with something I actually made myself. It was the perfect mix of learning, skill-building, and excitement. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something memorable and different!
First trip to Japan and one of the things I wanted to do most was brought to life in this shop. Great experience. Sawan was a great teacher and was a great communicator. Thank you for the forever memory!!!

We did the knife making class and it was such a good time. 10/10 would recommend. A good workout and a great experience. The instructors spoke very good English and made jokes the whole time which made it everything even more fun. Definitely recommend if you are with a friend or significant other. A great bonding experience while you both are sweating from the heat of the forges.
