I had a fantastic stay at the Come On Up Shared House! Yoshio, the host, is incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. The lounge area is perfect for chilling with housemates while cooking meals, and the rooftop offers a great spot to relax. The house is in a quieter part of Tokyo, but the electric big city vibe is just 20 minutes away.Yoshio is always ready with a funny anecdote about Japanese culture and is super helpful with translating or navigating local life. I highly recommend this warm, welcoming place for anyone visiting Tokyo!

Our house manager at Sumiyoshi House, Yoshio, is the best house manager I’ve ever had. He is so quick to respond to messages, and any problems we have in the house, he will try his best to fix the problem right away. He’s such a kind and warm person, always friendly with all the housemates. He is also an amazing Japanese teacher and helps many of the non-Japanese speakers with any tasks that might be a language problem. For example, when I needed help setting up / disconnecting my cell phone, he helped me through it. The housemates were also lovely in my time living there too, it was such an amazing experience living in this sharehouse.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Tokyo and don't want to go through the trouble of furnishing a tiny apartment that'll cost a fortune, then I don't think there is any better place to stay than this one. The location is great, the individual rooms are all adequately furnished and if you like to cook, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and appliances you would ever need. The share house manager is very kind, helpful and as many other people write, he is a good friend.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I decided to move into a share house for 5 months but I had an amazing time! The share house manager Yoshio was amazing and helped me with any troubles I had. I met many amazing people here and made many friends! The atmosphere was very comfortable and my room was very pleasant with a lot of storage room. I’m very happy I chose this sharehouse!
The share house was one of my favorite parts of my exchange in Japan. The common areas were always tidy and clean. Everyone was very nice and I became great friends with many of my roomates including the Sharehouse manager: Yoshio. Yoshio was very helpful throughout my stay in Japan and he would often show us cool places throughout Tokyo. If you can, definitely stay at this share house during your time in Japan!
I already miss the house and the housemates so much! I really had the best time ever and felt so comfortable in the house. The private room was also perfectly furnished and had a lot of storage room. The house itself was very well equipped and the kitchen was very large so I could cook everything. Also all the common spaces were very lovely and we spent a great time there. The rooftop was also nice and you have the best view on Skytree. However, the best thing about the shared house was definitely the house manager. We became really good friends, had a lot of fun and he helped me a lot during my stay.

Stayed here during my visit to Japan and could not have asked for a more pleasant and warm welcome. The host Hikaru is incredibly friendly and we shared many great moments together. Would definitely recommend this share house to anyone visiting/moving to Japan!
